7 Chapter 5: Revealed Secrets towards a Quest

Chapter Five

I took my steps lightly and followed the trail of the floating glowing balls. The trail looked like a runway for airplanes. I feel nervous on what I will encounter on the other side of this trail, like what's waiting for me. I shrugged the thought off and swallowed hard. It's now or never.

It took me almost 5 minutes to walk, and the trail leaded to a tent under a huge tree. I looked everywhere to see if there are also similar tents around the area. NONE. I hesitated to walk and go inside the tent but my curiosity will kill me so I went inside.

Inside the tent, I saw dream catchers, some weird leaves and dead plants, some weird stuffs hanging on the wall. I don't see anyone, I only see 2 chairs and a table. I see a deck of tarot cards, and a crystal ball I think? It is quite astonishing. The "crystal ball" is a big round ball as big as a basketball. Under is a basin-like thing with bluish water and it looks like the crystal ball is floating above the basin thing.

"May I help you?" A woman I think in her early 30's with glowing blue eyes looked at me. I almost had a heart attack! I didn't even know she was already there! Is she a mushroom?

"Oh my gosh. You almost gave me a heart attack!" I said while I catch my breath.

"Oh silly. You won't. You have a brave heart. Now, what do you want? Do you want me to read your fortune? Palm reading? Herbs? Spices? Dolls? Enchantments? I also sell dream catchers. They're very effective." She sounded like a businesswoman and I looked unto her eyes, her eyes are amazing. She's so beautiful. Her ash white hair complemented her eyes and her fair skin. Mixture of Alexandra Daddario and Megan Fox! But much fairer.

"I saw some floating glowing balls outside my window and I followed it and it led me. Here." I said.

"Is that so? Okay have a seat. So what do you want?" She offered me to seat and she sat down shuffling her tarot cards.

"I don't know. I don't want anything. I don't even know why I'm here. Sorry for the inconvenience. I'm leaving." As I'm about to leave, what she said totally brought me back to my seat.

"You see. Voodoo is not something like fairytales or what you see and hear from the children's books or even the internet. Voodoo existed millions of years ago. They haven't have a name of it way back then. But Voodoo is not about witches and dark magic." She said. I turned my head to her and she smiled at me, playfully.

I sat down and listened more to what she has to say. She sprinkled something to the crystal ball and it smoked as if there is dry ice underneath the basin thing. And it glowed. She pointed at my bracelet and it glowed too. I was beyond shocked of what I saw.

"Your stone is made from the same stone as this "crystal ball". She air quoted.

I saw in the crystal ball three glowing stones circling and all seemed familiar. One is a colorful opal like mine, one is blue and one is red. Sapphire and Ruby.

The crystal ball showed some flashes of images. One is my hand with my bracelet on it. One is Rolly's foot with his anklet on and one is an image of a young woman crouching with the necklace-- wait.

I looked carefully at the face of the young woman. I can't see clearly because her arms covered her face. No. It must be.

"Can I see her face please?" I said. Tears are forming around my eyes and it will drop anytime. My heart is pounding very hard. Please let it be her.

"Why? We can't do that. The crystal ball is--

"Please! I need to see her face. I think I'm going to blame myself forever if I don't see her face. I can pay how much you want. Please let me see her face! I beg of you." I pleaded desperately. My tears flowing like waterfalls.

I swear to god. I'm overreacting but I'm lost in thoughts. I know my sister. And just by seeing partially her face, I knew it's her.

She stared at me with sympathetic eyes and she nodded.

Ohmygod.

I fell down to my knees and I lost control of my body. I felt relief and sorrow. There it is. Finally. Rizanna is alive! I feel so sad and I missed her. I think she was held captive. I'm almost out of breath, I need to tell nana about this!

"She's my sister! She's been taken from us 11 years ago. Now she's alive! Where is she now? I need to save her!" I asked her.

"I'm sorry dear. I can't tell you exactly where. I can't meddle with the life and businesses of the gods and goddesses." she said with sorrowful eyes looking at me.

I held her hand and begged for help. Pleading desperately. I cried helplessly. I think I'm losing my mind.

"Please help me! Rizanna is waiting for us for 11 years! She needs us! She's cold, helpless and afraid! I will not forgive myself! She has been taken from us once! I can't loose her again! Please? Please?" I cried so hard that my eyes sore. I felt the weight of sorrow, longing and pity for my sister. It's suffocating me.

I can see her eyes looking at me with pity.

"I can't say the place and I can't say who. I'm sorry." There. The tears are flowing helplessly. If she won't tell me, then okay! I'll find Rizanna no matter what! I'll turn the world upside down to find her! If it needs me to sacrifice myself for her, I will!

"I can't tell you the details exactly. But I'll help you point the way." She said. A pinch of hope sparked in me and I thank her for that.

"Rizanna is been held hostage by someone who was indebted by your family. In order for you to reach him you need to pass 7 gods and goddesses in honor of the 7 powerful priestesses of Voodoo. You need to pay their tolls and win their favors. These gods and goddesses will help you in facing HIM. You need to be brave Rosetta. These gods and goddesses are not you think idly of. They might kill you if they don't favor you. You will go through so much and if you want to save your sister you need to pay the debt of your family. A debt that has been left unpaid for thousands of years. Long overdue." She said. She told me riddles, clues and hints on how to find this 7 gods and goddesses. I typed them on my phone and saved it. I thank her. The hope and gratitude I felt went crazy as I hugged her tight and she even hugged me back. I realized it after she hugged me back. I smiled at her.

Rizanna, be strong I'll come for you. Be alive, I'll bring you home.

"One thing Ro. These god's and goddesses are like businessmen, they love good deals and negotiations." she winked at me and I let her put my bracelet back to my right hand.

"Thank you." I said and I went outside her tent and walked out with hope and determination.

I smiled like crazy. I smiled with gratitude, hope and longingness. Then it struck me.

I didn't even introduced myself.

How did she knew my name?

What on earth is happening?

I turned around and looked back to see where the tent is.

It's gone. Not a trace of tent stands, ropes.

I looked back it where it was and it just poof! vanished. How is it possible. I looked up to the branches and saw no traces of rope tied or anything.

Someone grabbed my hand and covered my mouth.
