Dual and Unexpected News

3rd Person POV 

It has been a few weeks since school started, Both Ron and Neville's academic's performance had improved by a huge margin during that time. 

Both of them didn't compromise on their study session and only had fun when they completed their school work.

During this time Draco Malfoy tried to harass Harry with his goons, but the end result was them getting humiliated. They weren't able to one-up Harry no matter what they came up with.

Deciding to change targets, when Draco saw Ron and Neville alone walking towards the Library without Harry, he decided to make his move.

Ron POV

Me and Neville were on our way to the library, where Draco and his goons blocked our way and he started badmouthing my family. 

"So Weasley, would you like some monetary help from my father, since your family is very poor and you must be starving at home" Draco spoke with a sarcastic grin on his face

"Can't face the world without Daddy's help, Instead of Draco why don't you change your name to Daddy's Little Princess" I countered and Neville was standing near me to show his support.

Draco's face turned red feeling humiliated and embraced, both of us started throwing comments back and forth, and when I was gaining the upper hand, he ended up challenging me to a Duel.

The old me would've had doubts about winning but the current me could take on Draco, so without hesitation, I accepted the challenge. He told me to meet him on the third floor at midnight and left with his two goons.

Not bothered by the Duel, Neville and I left for the library to complete our work

3rd Person POV

After parting, Draco and his friends, when walking back to the Slytherin common room

"That red-haired swine had the audacity to mock me" Draco spoke in a low tone which was not auditable to Crabbe and Goyle who are following him.

"Both of you are finished when Filch finds you roaming around at midnight and If Potter also joins them, then I can get my revenge on him too," he said with a sinister smile.

On the other side, Inside the Gryffindor common room, Ron and Neville informed Harry about the duel. 

Harry told them that, Draco most probably won't come, but he also decided to join them to make sure nothing happened to them.

At the appointed time, the three of them snuck out from the Gryffindor common room and reached the 3rd floor and just like Harry said, Draco didn't show up but instead Filch the caretaker showed up with his cat.

I they get caught they would have to face serious trouble because they are first years so Harry takes action

In order to prevent Filch from finding them, Harry leads them through a secret passage from the 3rd floor.

Harry had already explored the castle's secret passage for emergency purposes. After some detour, they came back to the common room, escaping punishment.

Mc POV

The next day, During breakfast. The five of us were having our breakfast while chatting, but suddenly, many owls started to enter the great hall, to deliver the latest issue of the Daily Prophet.

Ron, who was sitting next to me also received one, When I saw the Headlines there was only one thought in my mind "Something big has changed".

Headlines: Breakout in Azkaban.

Taking the paper from Ron, I started to read the content and found out a few important Death Eaters had been broken out of Azkaban. 

I was sure that it somehow involved Voldemort because the names mentioned in the paper were the core members of his followers like Bellatrix Lestrange.

It seems like my future knowledge has very little use from now on as the future has drastically changed. Maintaining a calm expression and handing the paper back to Ron, I started to go through the scenario mentioned in the paper.

It said that around 30 wizards in Death Eater costumes broke into Azkaban and escaped with the prisoners before the Aurors and authorities arrived.

I could feel lots of eyes from students watching me in the great hall, the news spread fast, but it didn't break my usual calm demeanor.

Looking at the professor's table, both Dumbledore and Snape were missing, so most probably they left to check out the situation.

'It looks like I have to hurry up with my spell proficiency, I was planning to take it slow but with the situation changing, I have to be prepared for any scenario'

My thoughts turned to my current influence and wealth in the magic world, 'it's time to work on improving it faster, so I started to work on a new plan for Eve to face any situation without facing any drawbacks.'

The five of us left the great hall for our morning class but my mind was still working on my next move. I am sure that Voldemort has woken up because without his help it's not possible to break into Azkaban.

After some time, I was able to narrow down the suspect list to one person who should have knowledge about the breakout.

Draco's father Lucius Malfoy, that man had both the financial and political power to make this happen and he was scared of Voldemort. I have to inform Eve to keep him under our surveillance, but with our current strength, it's not possible.

'I have to complete the projects 'Combat Rings' and 'Dark Mark' before the start of the second year. If those two projects are complicated, Eve would be able to protect the business if an attack happens and we will face only fewer problems while expanding the business.'

The best way to handle the current scenario is to start cutting down Lucius Malfoy's influence in the political aspect, which will restrict Voldemort's movements but it will take time.

Looks like I have to contact 'Rook' in the coming weekend to give out new orders to Max and Eve.
