3 Home

I woke up that morning wondering what exiting things are going to happen today. I figured out that the reason why my mom and dad go away sometimes. They are adventures that go out and do quests and slay monsters for money. We just live out in the middle of no where and I mean that quite literally. Whenever mom and dad have to go somewhere they put a golem outside and put me in my room. The golem just sat there all day doing nothing while it just stared at the 4 year old its suppose to be protecting. Instead of walking around and doing nothing I practice with the toy sword my dad gave me for my 4th birthday.

Everyday I go outside (by sneaking out) and practice on the dummy with my small sword that was just right for my size. The dummy just stare's at me as I slash it pretending it was a monster. The fight was insane in my mind.

The big red monster with huge spikes on his back looked back at me and breathed fire on me as I took through the pain and prepared a counter attack. The monster dodged my sword and slammed me to the ground with it's huge dark red scaly legs. The wings were big as sharp enough to tear down whole buildings no problem. I took out my sword and enchanted it with mana. My sword was glowing like the ocean as I slashed at its heart. It tried to breathe fire on me again as it fell from the bright red sky we were fighting in. I looked down at it laying on the ground as I slashed its neck and praising myself for such a good job I did. Then I heard my dad behind me calling to me.

"Zekeil!! Time to eat." He was holding up a bowl of soup.

"Ok dad, coming!!" I rushed to him excited to finally get food in my belly. I also wondered if they were going to tell me about the adventure they went on.

I went inside the house to see my loving mom and dad sitting at the table waiting for me to sit and eat. Mom and Dad were both talking about moving somewhere else closer to the guild hall they worked at. They refused to move out of the small wooden cabin we lived in though because they both apparently hate living in the city, But in the end they were packing to move. Then they went on and started talking about my mana again.

"What are we going to do about the sheer amount of mana he is showing honey? I would hate for him to be in this house for any longer. He is only a 4 year old. He needs to get outside and meet people."

"What if we spend some money on a mana nullification bracelet honey? Since he is only four a small one should be plenty good enough to hide his mana presence."

" we don't have the money for the Azeil and you out of anyone should know better than that."

"I'm sure my friends will help us pay for it, I don't want my kid staying in this house until we get him a bracelet. He needs to be out and make friends his own age."

"Azeil -"

"Just let it happen Rose, I know it will be hard to pay them back but there my friends and I have known them my whole life. Just trust me on this."

My parents then proceeded to go out and get me whatever they called a nullification bracelet. They did not return for a couple of days but they came back to give me it. As soon as I put it on, I feel the air around me feel more real and comfortable. The colors of the house looked more vibrant and colorful. Then my dad put me on his back and we left the house onward to the city.
