Chapter 24) Forest and Opportunities 2

Sitting in the common room, I stared at the three people who are supposed to accompany me and Daphne to the forbidden forest tomorrow. After talking and planning everything, I settled on the three people in front of me.

The first one is Vaizey Selwyn, yes, the same Vaizey who is a Quidditch lover and who very much wants to lick my 5th point, while having gold from me. The second Mark Avery is good at spells and in herbology , he himself often goes to the forbidden forest, though only in safe zones, but this should be enough.

The third is Patrick Yaxley, good at potions and transfiguration. And yes, since I said what the last two are good at, then I should also mention the first one. Well, he's good at dark arts and defensive spells. What is good about the three of them, they will be useful in themselves, they are from gray families who are either on the edge of poverty, or they are insignificant in political terms.

We went to the exit of the school, reaching the door, Mark says -Non track et non mark- . Immediately I felt that I could not track Daphne with my magical flair, along with the rest of the people.

Damn, it's a powerful spell, although I'm not sure if it will work, it's a spell for wizards who are purposefully looking for a specific goal. But it will save us from an indirect search.

After that, we headed for the forest. When we came to the nearest path, Mark started talking again.

"We will only move along the paths, leaving them, the forbidden forest will begin to confuse our senses and in the end we rub ourselves and Hagrid will feel that we are here."

"The paths also track any student who enters the forbidden forest." said Patrick.

"Of course, it tracks, but then my spell comes, the paths passively scan anyone, and my spell does not allow us to be marked with this scan." Mark answers confidently.

After walking for some time, we found ourselves quite deep in the forest. Then I heard the hissing of snakes.

I remembered all the information from the library. Their weakness is magic fire , and the spell of the elements of the earth . "They're on the left and coming fast." I say.

"Great, then let these creatures feel my fire. With a grin, Vaizey pointed his wand in their direction.

Patrick also pointed his wand towards the snakes and they both use a spell.

-Tenebris Flamma- , black fire flew out of the wand and fell on the snakes, which hissed in anger and began to writhe.

-Antiqua Os- , two bone spikes pierced the snakes and killed them on the spot.

Quite effective, and by the magic fluctuations, I can tell that the spells were quite costly.

"Let's collect hearts, and bags of poison." I tell them. They nodded and Mark cut the snakes and pulled out the body parts I needed, and stuffed the rest into his pouch.

Going further, we collected a couple more herbs along the way and reached the place where unicorns live.

Daphne began to cast a spell to erase the memory of our escorts, and I began to suppress magical fluctuations so that our escorts would not notice it.

And then, a thick fog headed for us.

"Mark, I hope you know what this is," Patrick said, and pulled out his magic wand.

"I have no idea, I have not entered this part of the forest. " Mark replied and also prepared to fight.

"Hmm, why are you shaking so much, a couple of fire spells and all the monsters will die here." said Vaizey, getting ready to burn everything that comes close.

I remember that this fog, the keeper of brutal ghosts. These are the ghosts of dead people and magical creatures who are so bloodthirsty that they stayed in our world only to continue killing.

Although the forbidden forest is located near the school and these mists are often cleared, but they are still dangerous for schoolchildren. But as far as I remember, this fog should walk in the depths of the forbidden forest, and not here.

I patted Daphne on the shoulder so that she would continue the spell . I concentrated to feel the approaching ghosts. And I said .

"Attack, only with fire spells and with a light attribute, otherwise we will die here."

They nodded to me and prepared for a fierce battle.
