Old man Ryan's request

"Cough!! Cough!!" Old man Ryan coughed as he covered his mouth with his hand.

He then looked at his palm and saw a blood.

"Old man!!" Souta said as he stood up and went to old man Ryan.

Souta saw the blood in old man Ryan's palm. He asked while trembling, "don't tell old man..."

"Yes, I don't have much time left. The poison corroded all of my organs. At the very least I could only live for a week" Old man admitted to Souta.

"There's no cure in this type of poison, you only need to have enough power to fight the power of corrosion of the poison. Even though, I'm powerful in this world that I could even the god's that was hiding, my strength in the immortal world is only above average"

"I have one request Souta..." Old man Ryan said as he looked at Souta seriously.

"Old man.... Don't tell me.." Souta said as he opened his eyes widely.

"Yes, I will give you the Adaptive system." Old man Ryan said as he smile at him.

"What?!!" Souta remembered that there's only one way to gained other people system and that is.... To kill the host of the system.

"I don't want some poor people transported in other world and entangled in this endless loop only to died at the end" Old man Ryan said to him straight in the eye's.

"Actually, I'm quite tired in my 50 years I've been the host of a system. I've been through countless of battles in different worlds and it's quite tiring" Old man Ryan said in a tired expression.

"I've already tried to lived peacefully in a single world but some system user and those immortals would not let you live peacefully like you wanted"

Old man Ryan stood up and walked over to Souta.

"So, I want to give you my system, it will help you in your journey and it's my gift to you as your master." He said as he patted Souta's head.

Souta looked as he bit his lips hard enough that blood flow.

"Come back here if you've steel your will" Old man said gently to him.

Souta didn't say anything and just walked out of the door.

In the guild, Kagura was walking around inside the guild.

"Where's big brother Souta?" Kagura said as she looked around the guild and couldn't found Souta.

"Kagura chan you're looking for Souta" Ur walked over and said.

"Un" Kagura nodded at her.

"He is with his master" Ur said.

"He's always training, big brother doesn't have time to accompany me" Kagura complained as she stomped her foot in the ground. She left the guild and went to find Souta in his master's house.

Kagura went to the forest and found the wooden house. She walked over and knocked.

"Big brother Souta!!" Kagura shouted while knocking.

"Hmm!! Excuse me Master Ryan" Kagura said as she slowly opened the door. She saw old man Ryan was coughing a mouthful of blood.

"Master Ryan!!" Kagura said as she run over to old man Ryan. She helped him wiped the blood and sat on the chair.

"Are okay now? Master Ryan" Kagura said worriedly. This was the first time she show master Ryan looked vulnerable. Master Ryan is the master of her big brother Souta. He was also the one who helps Mira control her magic power.

She always saw him powerful, good health, he smile when he beat Souta. But now his face was pale and there blood from out of his mouth.

"It seems I couldn't hide it anymore to you" Old man Ryan said as he explained his condition to her.

Kagura opened her eyes widely as she covered her mouth while listening to his explanation.

Late at night, Souta was sitting in the riverside looking at the stars. He was thinking about what the old man Ryan told him.

He started to remember what his life in earth before he came here in this world. Souta was an orphan back in earth. He live his life alone and the only thing he do to passed time was to watch anime, read manga and novels. He doesn't have many friends in school.

'Well, atleast I don't have any complained in how I live there in earth.' Souta thought as he kept watching the start in the sky. He remembered everything he watched, and read, what happened to those stories he read.

He then shook his head and stood up.

Old man Ryan was outside of the house sitting in a chair looking at the sky.

He opened his mouth and said, "So, you've decided to receive my system"
