20 Dreams of a Muggle-born Slytherin Queen (part 1)

That conversation completely changed young Hermione's mind. She wanted to create a wizarding society of her own now. A society where Muggleborns would live better than they were living now. A place where they could improve and grow without the restrictions of bigoted purists and unjust laws. A society of Muggle-born wizards... a kingdom?

She saw herself as a queen... Although the concept of royalty brings more problems because it would at some point in the future generate separatism and discrimination. Unless she did not allow the existence of a nobility and made all titles, besides her own, to be earned on merit. She could even establish a law restricting the royal family that only the most talented future heirs could govern. It would be a kingdom constantly in a state of growth...

Hermione has always had a lot of greed and ambition. She longed to be better and do better. But she also wanted friends. She suppressed her will and desires in favor of making friends, but the boy in front of her awakened that greed again. Besides, why can't I have it both ways? thought the girl.

"Would you help me with this?" Hermione asked humbly.

"Um…I don't have much to do at school this year. But I think you should show your excellence at Hogwarts and go to Slytherin."

"But but..."

"Hermione, think…what would be harder to swallow for a bunch of fanatical purebloods than having a muggleborn with better notes, cunning and greater influence? If you graduated with honors from the most prejudiced house in school, how would you be viewed by other muggleborns?"

"Influence?" She asked suddenly thinking about what he said. It made sense.

"Yes... You should get supporters in the future. After all, you will need ministers for the kingdom you want to create. Find our year's talented Muggleborns and create a group. Independent of the houses at Hogwarts. Lead them and grow strong. Add more and more members every year. I recommend that you take your supporters and their parents to live in your future country. This would further increase the love for the country they will build in the future."

"But why do you do this? You are a thoroughbred."

"Actually, to fanatical thoroughbreds I am what this wizarding community calls a half-breed. My mom is a pureblood witch and my dad is…well, something else." He sounded mysterious, but Hermione didn't force answers.

"I understand. I'll do my best." The girl decided. She would be a Slytherin. She would be the best of the year. Hardly anyone would be able to overcome it.

"Just that…don't trust wizards at school. Nor adults. Also do not accept drinks from anyone. Potions are quite malicious and can be used in many ways. I also suggest you start learning Occlumency. In case someone tries to oblige you after hurting you. Honestly, the chances of you getting raped inside the school are high to the point of being ridiculous." Vitra continued to give tips and warnings that sent shivers through the 12-year-old girl's body. She almost thought about fleeing back to the muggle house she had become accustomed to. "I suggest you train attack spells too... Another thing, we're not going to be friends, but allies."

"Why?"

"Why your greed prevents us from forming our friendship since it would seem like I'm talking to you just to control you and you would seem to be just taking advantage of me. Acting as allies would make our situation less complicated." Vitra smiled. "You will create your own country one day and being my friend will limit you. I'm already at the top of my community in terms of influence and wealth so I don't have much to gain from your country. You on the other hand still need to prove yourself and I don't think you'll stop because of me."

That made Hermione almost reluctant, but his smile was encouraging. The girl had a feeling he would despise her if she backed down now, so she wouldn't. In fact, she wanted to become stronger, more powerful and more influential. She wanted to create a society of wizards that would respond to her. Yes, she was ambitious and could be cunning. It wasn't hard on her brain.

"When I'm done doing this…when my kingdom is built…I won't be that far from you anymore. So, on that day…would you…take me?"

The question seemed to have caught the boy off guard, but it didn't last long. A surprisingly bright smile split Vitra's handsome face.

"When that happens, I'll be waiting for you, Mione."

Let's make this world burn! The boy, Vitra, he thought, smiling.

"Ah…about that frog…if you don't find him don't worry. Hogwarts house elves will ensure that it is returned to its owner." She revealed the smiling boy when she asked what house elves were about.

Having a Hermione for company was quite…pleasant. She was cute and smart and asked very blunt questions. Though I needed to end her tendency to be bookish. It took half an hour of detailed explanations to make her understand that understanding magic does not mean memorizing concepts written in a book. If I didn't use Plato at the end, talking about the supposed intelligible world and sensible world (A good metaphor to explain the physical body and astral body) allowed her to realize her mistake.

"I see…those wizards who wrote the books took their ideas from their own understanding. I should just use your concepts as a reference." She said at the end making me proud.

Smart, see?

Let's not even talk about the amount of information she extracted from me by making the right answers at the right times. No wonder she becomes a minister in the future of the canon. Though now I doubt she wants to be minister of a corrupt ministry like ours. She was sure to be queen of her personal realm and the answer to a lot of her ambitions were the little house elves. I imagine that after hearing me about them she knows what to do...

And she knew.

Hehehe. She's too smart to be accompanied by the brunette and redhead duo. In fact, just taking her away from them could make the girl's life so much easier... Although going to Slytherin changes that a little bit. But what doesn't kill, strengthens, said the philosopher whose name I don't remember.

After that our conversations varied about our families, likes, dislikes, friends and so on. We had so much in common that it almost scared us. She liked cats although she also found cute dogs. She also had no friends and was always at home studying hard. She liked a muggle romance movie that I've never seen and never intended to see. She also listened to good music. Rock and a little Indie. In comparison, the only thing I abhorred was the romantic movie, but otherwise we had a lot of rapport.

I also told her about my travels to Egypt and Japan and about the different magical communities in the world. We were called Wand Swingers in most eastern countries and that made it quite odious. It took a while to reveal that these wizards also used magic focuses, only that they were different. Some used convene spirits (drauid shamans and witches), others used wand substitute artifacts such as rings, scepters, daggers, even earrings and others. I also told her that there had been wizards capable of wandless magic from a young age but they only did minor wandless spells like me.

Of course I didn't tell her I was an expert in wandless magic, because we weren't that close, I didn't reveal my demonic heritage or anything like that either. I also told her about my charming hobby. I used gemstones to create batteries of magic that could be used in a variety of ways. It was easy to see that natural stones such as diamonds, emeralds, assorted crystals and some metals could trap magic. It was already a fact that silver Goblin was capable of this when Godric Gryffindor's sword absorbed the basilisk's poison. So I used rune-covered stones to create my own unique artifacts. Beauty was just an extra.

She was delighted when she saw one of my magical gems made of a rather rare pink ruby filled with golden runes that absorbed ambient magic, purified and converted before pooling magic within it like a mage does to its core. There were some coupling runes that when activated channeled energy to the artifact you wanted to activate. It was basically magic drums. I even showed you another smaller stone in the form of a cell phone battery linked to a magic cell phone.

It was unique and had smartphone-like functions, but without the internet. I didn't need to invent the internet and I'm just going to steal the Muggles' signal. The artifact itself could do this and create a deep layer for witches' exclusive use. It was deeper than Deep Web...so there would be no problem. There was also a really cool app stolen from a fic I read in the past. The artifact could reproduce memories like a pensieve. That was good because I could just add my favorite songs to the phone and listen again in this world.

We spent the trip with Avril Lavigne in the background.

She told me about her visit to a French aunt a few years ago and how she was enchanted by the country's landscapes. I disdained France like all Brits but I admitted that they were quite rich in culture and that their food was of a level above England.

In a sense, we became very close friends. I say in a sense because it felt like she had a crush on me. Well, I could respond to those feelings in 3 or 4 years. It wasn't the lolicon type then...friends will do.

"Do you know how magic manifests? What kind of phenomenon is it?" she asks me suddenly. Man, her questions are pretty blunt. Geniuses are something else, I say.

"Well, there are many theories already, but I believe in Corban Huskey's spiritual core theory. He argued that the mage's body channels energy from his spirit body... this energy was then converted to magical energy which then fed the spells. Corban also said in his book, "Magic and Its Origins", that although magical blood is relevant for a mage to be powerful, bloodlines are generally obsolete." I explained patiently, "That means you don't have to worry about the blood purists' theory of blood supremacy."

"I see...but that hasn't been proven, has it?"

"That's why it was called a theory, Mione. I suggest you stop trying to study this for now and read the book on Occlumency I lent you."

"Oh, okay." She speaks and goes back to reading bringing me the silence so desired.

Time flowed like a river and we soon arrived at the station in the village of Hogsmeade. It wasn't an unpleasant ride as I didn't have to deal with bitch Malfoy and her minions, or bitch Weasley and her jealous fanboy complex. Hermione was good company and at one point, I wished she would shut up. See, there is a limit to socializing when someone is new to it. I might like the girl, but I wasn't chatty and my throat was already dry.
