45 Helping Elys II

Yuliang was on his way back to his apartment after a long day of work when he was stopped short by a nearby sound of sobbing and splashing water.

The area he was currently in was one of the more secluded routes on campus where a small lake lay obscured from direct sight by low hanging branches of large weeping willows surrounding the banks of the waters.

Yuliang didn't think twice before pushing aside the branches and making his way to investigate the source of the sound.

The sight he saw caught him off guard. The last thing he had expected to see was a dishevelled Elys Rydel fishing his things out of the shallow dark waters of the lake.

Yuliang slid off his robe on the shore and carefully tucked it into his bag. Then he waded into the icy cold water without even a flinch and grabbed the nearest floating paper, "A bit cold for an evening swim, don't you think Rydel?"

The young omega looked up at him in horrified surprise, arms immediately coming up to wipe at the tears that rolled down his face."Yuliang!" Elys exclaimed. "What are you doing here?" He hiccupped and immediately tried to grab the things in Yuliang's hands. "I can get my things myself, don't worry. It was just an-an accident. I-I was the one that-"

"That tossed your things into the lake?" Yuliang finished dryly. "Don't take me for an idiot Rydel. After we get everything out, I want you to come with me."
