73 From Beyond the Glass I

Elys hadn't had a proper interaction with Yuliang in what felt like forever since that unfortunate first meeting between his Pack Leader and his parents. They only had two classes together a week where Elys had to share Yuliang's attention with a bunch of nobodies and he had been banned from going to Yuliang's apartment until things had been properly settled.

Elys, thankfully, was still allowed to stay after class for their usual study sessions, but it just wasn't the same since Yuliang always tried to keep a professional distance between them in the classroom.

It wasn't enough.

Elys had been prepared for their evening lesson, resigned to take what he can get, but things had played out differently today.

After Yuliang had scolded the incompetent students for their sloppy attitudes towards their studies, they had all taken up time after class to make excuses with him.

Elys knew the chances of their extra lesson happening now were low, but he had still hoped to have at least a bit of Yuliang's attention before the time came for him to leave.

Unfortunately, with his loser classmates wasting time arguing with Yuliang, the time for him to leave came closer and closer.

He had stood outside the doorway, with his back to the class, staring down at his phone when the first concerned message from his mother came through.

He wanted to cry.

Why did they all have to ruin his life like this?

Why couldn't they just let him make his own decisions about his life?

This wasn't fair!

He had to go, but he couldn't bring himself to leave without at least saying goodbye.

He turned back, about to do so, but then he could only stare in wide-eyed horror as Carlton Riviera forced a kiss on his Yuliang.
