19 Continuing Business

3 days had passed since their group farming session had completed, and Rowan logged back into Tyranny, feeling much more secure with his future knowing the large sum of money that had been transferred to his account.

Walking to the shop, Eidiri saw one of the shop's assistants transferring a bunch of ores into the shop from a decently long caravan.

Not only was the caravan carrying ores, but there were entertainers, various commodities from other lands like that of porcelain and fine glass from the deserts of the Sunderlands.

Jarid was overseeing the assistants, making sure that they transferred the ores in properly.

Seeing Eidiri, he waved him over, "Come here boy," he then proceeded to hand a crate over, "Take this and put it in storage will ya?" he asked.

"Sure," Eidiri accepted the task.

Eidiri then moved to help transfer the shipment of ores into the shop, once all of them were transferred into the forge, Jarid turned to him and spoke.

"Hey kid. I looked at some of your works while you were out gallivanting and all that. All I can say is not bad, not bad. You should be a Novice Forger by now right?"

Eidiri nodded.

"That was pretty damn quick. Well then, if you're already a Novice Forger by now then you'll be able to handle some of the orders we need to catch up on."

"If you just check the little slips over by the counter, you can take whatever jobs you think you'll be able to do. When you've finished the job, just put the finished products on the racks over there with the slip underneath them," Jarid said.

"Blueprints are in the chest over there, be careful with them, try not to get oil on them or anything," Jarid lectured.

Eidiri nodded to everything Jarid said, showing his understanding.

That chest alone would be extremely beneficial for him, allowing him to create a wide variety of tools and objects.

Seeing as how he was only a Novice Forger, at this level he could only do things by the book, not yet able to forge items of his own creation.

As such, the value of blueprints was quite high, seeing as how he essentially had a monopoly over the player base in regards to forging, each one of those blueprints had the potential to rake in massive amounts of profit.

Deciding to work on some simple tools like that of picks and axes, he took several slips, some low-grade magical Amethyst Ore, and set to work.

Magical ores couldn't simply be smelted like normal ores, they had to be refined in a delicate process, Jarid instructed.

By running it through the Eura chamber, the metal ore would begin to refine into a material that would be suitable for the mold and such.

Magical ore still had to be hammered out and all that but the process of the refinement was to ensure that the final product would carry properties from that of the ore.

Eidiri gently slid the Amythest into the Eura chamber, waiting for it to refine.

While he was waiting he decided to check his blog.

In the brief span of three days, his blog had practically exploded.

The knives being sold for such values were essential to this sudden blow-up in popularity.

Anyone who had managed to secure a knife for themselves posted about it in the forums, increasing their reputation as well as large amounts of envy.

Many wondered where they could get knives like them and were referred to Eidiri's blog.

"Hey Big Bro! That's such a great knife there. Where'd you get it?" someone would ask.

Then in response, the original poster would leave a link to Eidiri's blog and boast about the knife's stats like, "Ever since I got this knife I feel I that I can cut through mountains!"

Of course, such talk was complete crap and a massive exaggeration, not that those who didn't have the knives knew.

The free advertising drew great amounts of attention to Eidiri's blog and as such, the revenue he generated was a sizable sum as well.

Compared to the funds he could get from auctioning weapons, it wasn't too much, but it was still a fairly sizable amount.

He continued to scroll through the forums, idly wondering what to make his next post about.

Then seemingly, as if only a blink of an eye had passed, the Eura chamber glowed a deep purple, signaling that the ore inside had finished refining.

Of course, seeing as how the ore was immensely valuable, not to mention rare, only parts of the product would be made with the ore.

Instead of making something completely out of the ore, they would make an alloy using steel as well.

First, he chiseled the edges of the amethyst, sharpening it into a point.

From there he poured some molten iron into a mold and used the Dwarven Son technique, ensuring that the quality would be commendable.

After that had passed, he performed rudimentary welding of the amethyst point to the main body of the pick.

When all of this was done, all that was left was to attach it to a simple handle, wrapping it in a cheap animal hide to give a sense of grip.

This continued on for a while, and over time the number of items Eidiri had forged had grown to a sizable amount, ranging from spears to picks.

Order after order was completed and the Exp he had gained had brought him to a Lvl 7 Novice Forger, when he reached Lvl 100 he would ascend to the next rank.

Seeing the success he was having, he decided to take a break from the smithing, his muscles aching terribly from blowing the bellows, hammering the metal, etc.

As he took his downtime, he decided to keep being productive, finally coming upon a topic of discussion for that blog post of his.

But before he wrote this, he quickly messaged Edgar, "Hey Edgar? Well, you know how I'm busy forging and all that? Well, I've decided to sell some of my goods to those outside. Seeing as how me and Ken and quite busy with our professions, I was wondering if you would be willing to help me conduct sales?"

Swiftly, Edgar replied, "Yea sure man, Just make sure I get like a sales cut or something. If I'm going to be doing this, may as well get something."

"Yeah sure. As long as the transaction is in like real money, I'll give you like a 4% cut of it all," Eidiri agreed.

"Well cool, then I guess we have an agreement," Edgar messaged back.

"Yep yep. Well, I'm gonna finish up this blog post of mine. Advertising and all that. Cya for now."

Edgar sent his goodbyes back, "Cya."

The post read, "I've just recently come across a great boon in my forging adventures. From now on, I shall be able to make a variety of things for purchase."

"Yes, you heard that right, from now on sales will be conducted through the player known as TaintedFire. If you wish to purchase weapons from him, he shall make himself available at the front gate on the outskirts of the village."

"For those of you who possess all sorts of unsavory ideas about looting our goods, well, quite simply, screw you. Anyone who wishes to seize our goods will be met with swift punishment, mainly the banning of purchase of any of our goods..."
