15 Basic Sales

On the outside of the Oakmoss Village was a crude arrangement of huts, along with a shoddy-looking wooden fence.

After leaving the village, Eidiri maneuvered through the menu and opened the friends tab. Following that, he searched for TaintedFire and sent out a request.

After lounging around for a good 5 minutes, the friend request was accepted.

"Hey bro, where are you?" TaintedFire asked. "I'll come around and pick you up."

"No need, no need. Just tell me your coords." Eidiri replied.

"Bro, how am I even going to tell you coords. We don't get a map. How do we even get coords?" TaintedFire asked.

"Oh wait my bad I forgot. I'll give you a map when I get there. Just send someone to fetch me or something I guess then."

TaintedFire then replied, "Okay, I'll send Kendrick. You're at the village gate right?"

"Yep, I'll be waiting here," Eidiri affirmed.

After a couple minutes or so a dark-haired teen walked up to the gates, after a quick look around, he approached Eidiri.

"You're Eidiri?" he asked.

Eidiri nodded in return.

"Oh that's cool, you can call me Ken, short for Kendrick. Alright, you just follow me then and we'll head back to our setup. It ain't much, but, well we can work with it."

Ken then proceeded to lead Eidiri to a relatively clear section of the woods, one in which the trees were a bit more sparse and the brush bare.

Here there were 2 lean-tos constructed around each other. Seeing Edgar, Eidiri raised his hand in greeting, offering hellos.

"Hey Rowan! You're finally here!" Edgar paused, taking a look at Rowan's avatar. "Wait. You're Eidiri?"

"Huh?"

"Bro you can just a bomb like that on me!"

"Damn making me lose face like that. Here I was bragging about how well we were doing here but you're over there living life!" Edgar exclaimed.

"Well, you don't have to live like this anymore. I'll carry you. Lets go, come on. Anyone else here?" Eidiri asked.

"Well honestly, I may have made our conditions seem a bit better than they are to you. In reality its just me and Kendrick here. Everyone else is going about doing there own thing and all that." Edgar admitted.

"Well if you guys don't have anything important to take, then I guess I'll setup the party," Eidiri stated.

Adding Kendrick as a friend and then sending out the party invites was a quick process, and in under a minute the setup was complete.

"Hey so what do you even want me to call you in here, Eidiri or Rowan?" Edgar asked.

"Just call me Eidiri."

"Anyways, I've got something for you here," Rowan pulled out the sub-par knife that he had initially made, handing it over to Edgar.

"Damnnn... you really are a forger? This is the good stuff here!" Edgar cried out. "Here take a look at this Ken," he said, handing the knife over to Ken to take a look.

"Yo, this is like leagues better than what everyone's currently got," Ken said, "You could make some serious profit off of this."

"Really?" Eidiri asked, "How so?"

"Well despite not no one having access to currency, there's probably some people out there willing to pay a premium to get a boost over everyone else."

"Especially those from the orgs and all that," Ken explained.

"If you put out an announcement that you'll be willing to see a couple or so of these for real-life currency. You'll probably be able to make a sizable amount," Edgar added on.

"Is that so? Alright, I'll make a public post about it real quick. Just gimme a minute," Eidiri said, following their suggestions.

"So I've recently been busying myself in the forge, grinding that sweet sweet Exp and all that you know? So anyways, I've got a little surplus on additional weapons that I believe that you guys will find interesting."

"The details and stats of the weapons are listed down below. I hope that you won't judge my work based on their description of them being sub-par, as they are leagues above whatever you possess (no offense intended)."

"The sale of these will occur in about 2 hours after the post, making use of the auction function here on the forums."

"As a note though. For any future sales, once everyone has access to the in-game auction house, transactions will be conducted through there."

"Payment should be made in real-life currency.

- Eidiri."

"Okay, now that I've finished the post let's go grind some mobs," Eidiri hands them a map he purchased in the village, "If you look at the map, we're going to be heading towards the rat fields."

"They should be able to quickly bring you guys to my level once we're done."

"Sure big brother, I'll take the carry, thank you very much," Ken thanked Eidiri.

-

After a brief journey, one that was made longer than necessary due to Ken and Edgar being unable to pass through the village, they had arrived at the Giant Rat fields.

"Okay since you're at a higher level, we'll defer to you, okay Eidiri?" Edgar asked.

"Yea sure that's fine."

"Okay so here's what your going to want to know about the rats. They're fairly unintelligent, but the issue is that they work together in swarms."

"All we have to do is properly kite them and we'll be good."

Eidiri took a moment to examine the field, noticing a group of rats not too far a distance away from them.

To the right of the rat group was a small outcrop of rocks.

"Okay, so I've thought of a quick plan. Since I have the most experience with the rats, I'll lead 'em over to those rocks over there."

"When they get there, you guys sprout up from behind and we beat 'em up together. Sounds good?"

Eidiri received 2 nods of affirmation, signaling that they understood the instructions.

Then Eidiri ran recklessly ran towards the group of rats, dragging their attention over, leading to them chasing after him in a rabid blood-lust.

As he kited them back towards the rocks, he would occasionally lash out with the knife, thinning them out a little, the Exp being distributed among the party.

Eventually when they finally were all herded to the rocks, Ken and Edgar leapt out and the trio proceeded swiftly finish what was left of the rats.

Ken stumbled a bit due to inexperience, but he made an excellent recovery, managing to swing his fist upwards to knock the deadly jaws away.

After another half an hour or so of such farming, Eidiri had reached halfway to level 8, while the other 2 had reached level 6.

Just as they had butchered yet another batch or rats, a distant rumbling occupied the area...
