Deception

"Your mother?!" Leo's brain almost couldn't process this shocking information that came just a few days after she dropped another bombshell on him. "Isn't she…?" 

He couldn't bring himself to complete the statement. 

"I thought she was, and I was more shocked than you are when I found out." She laughed like it meant nothing. "I really thought she was dead. I mean, I saw that video, her in the hospital, and her body. How on earth is she suddenly alive after all these years?" 

Leo swallowed a lump. It was impossible for her to have regained consciousness after her demise, and the video couldn't be fake. Not to mention, Julius had admitted doing all those things to Amanda when he was exposed. "Perhaps someone else faked her death?" He speculated. "Maybe she really was unconscious, but someone swapped her with another patient to convince you that she was dead, then took the real her away."
