Chapter 1: We're Seatmates part 1

"I don't understand, I have resigned, yet everyone says it's all my fault, why are they pitying Nancy?

"James was my boyfriend, I'm prettier than Nancy and better than her at every things, but why do everyone looks at me with contempt, commenting behind my back that I'm a vicious second rich generation?"

Jennie stood at the edge of the rooftop, looking down blankly, her voice sounded sad, "Because of that Nancy, James and I broke up, my friends stayed away from me, and became close to Nancy. The Reid family suppressed and annexed my Kim family, and I, Jennie, has fallen, from a high and mighty daughter of a rich family to a poor girl who could barely afford the tuition fees."

"My mom blamed me, my dad scolded me and they all said that I shouldn't have tried to rob Nancy, it's ridiculous, James was my boyfriend, ah, what do they mean I was robbing her, obviously she was the one who robbed my everything."

Jennie stood on the rooftop with her head held high, this was perhaps her last chance, she took a small step towards the edge of the roof, her eyes were empty, and tears were falling down, "This world also doesn't need me, am I really unneeded?"

Five minutes later…..

A bored voice asked out, "Why aren't you jumping yet?"

This sudden voice, seemed to be saying 'I've been waiting a long time, and yet this is all you were showing me?'

Jennie was so shocked that she almost fell down.

A warm hand gripped her wrist, and she was forcefully pulled away from the edge in a heartbeat, her legs were still trembling. Thinking about being overheard by someone just now, she was a bit angry and shook the hand away viciously.

"I want you to mind your own business." She glared at the newcomer with a pale face, and getting little angry at seeing who the other person was, "Nerd, who are you to eavesdrop!"

"I'm just good at listening."

Lisa pushed her black-framed glasses and thought; 'This body's name is Lalisa Manoban. I, Lisa was summoned by Jennie's obsession and made a deal with the original body's owner in order to help her change her fate.'

Why did she want to help Jennie?

She didn't think about it much, in her mind, all she wanted to do is come and help Jennie.

Jennie wiped the tears from her pretty face and glared at Lisa with an arrogant look; "Are you here to stop me from jumping?"

"No, I'm here to see you jump."

"Nerd, you're a pain in the ass!" Lisa remembered that she was pulled by her earlier and said as if she had seen through her; "No, you must have come to stop me from jumping, you pulled me just now, but you denied it."

"Why were you trying to stop me from jumping down? No one likes me and cares about me anymore." Jennie whimpered, "I have nothing left, I don't even have enough to pay for next semester's tuition, and now every day I get laughed at wherever I go in school, and when I got home I get pointed at and scolded by my mom, and my dad became a drunkard who always got mad about having a loser daughter."

"No one sympathizes with me, they all said I deserved it, that everything is my fault." Jennie crouched down and cried, sobbing incoherently and brokenly, "And now…you're teasing me… you bad nerd!"

Lisa walked in front of Jennie, crouched down and stared at her, her voice was still cold, no emotions; "You're in the top 20 of our grade, fluent in English, can play the piano. You can also dance ballet- on stage you're the shining Queen, you're only 16, much better and blessed than many people, why are you crying? Think of the homeless little girl in winter, the little girl who brushes dishes in the restaurant, or the female worker who can't even read."

Jennie stopped crying and she froze, looking at Lisa. Did this nerd say that she is excellent and blessed?

"If you're here to question the meaning of your life, why don't you go back to class to do more exercise books? Classmate Ruby, did you forget there's a final exam coming up? It's a terrible thing if your top 20 grade fell, they'll all laugh at you – because you're a pitiful student!"

The two words, "pitiful student", made Jennie's face turn pale.

"I remember you reported for the ballet program for this New Year's Eve party, didn't you practice today? Make a mistake on stage and the whole school will laugh at you."

Jennie covered her ears and her face turned paler.

Lisa took out a tissue and wiped Jennie's tears, "You're crying, your face is full of drool and snot, so dirty and ugly."

Jennie panicked and hurriedly looked for her bag, before remembering that she left it in the classroom and her phone was inside, she grabbed Lisa, "Nerd, do you have a mirror?"

"No." Lalisa pushed her black-framed glasses, a faint smile on the corner of her mouth.

"Cell phone, do you have cell phone?"

Lisa took out her cell phone out of her pocket and handed it to Jennie.

It's -.....
