15 Consequences

"Everything was a lie! Ayato didn't do anything to Glenn, I paid her to accuse him!" Kaito shouts.

!!!!!

"What...? But she had real bruises...?" The girl that came to my apartment mumbles.

"..."

Some men walk beyond the crowd to Kaito. "B-Boss? What the hell are you doing?"

Kaito gulps and points at four people. "They are the culprit of Glenn's injury. And... I forced Hanabi to date me. When she broke up with me, I was the one who ordered my subordinates to spread the rumours. She and Ayato have done nothing at all."

Everyone is left speechless, some even disgusted.

"What is going on here?!" A professor shouts from afar. "Lessons will be starting soon, what is the hold-up?!" He is an old man with grey hair and a small moustache.

Kaito throws his attention to the professor. The professor returns the glance at smiles. "Ah! It's Kaito! What's wrong?"

Kaito felt a sting in his hand. It's a sign. He gulps and says "This bastard has taken advantage of female students. He hired me to threaten and shut them up."

!?

"H-Huh? What nonsense are you-"

"Everything I said is the truth! I am completely sane!" Says Kaito. However, it isn't convincing when Kaito is visibly shivering.

"Stop slandering others!!" The professor quickly says, approaching Kaito.

"I'm telling the-"

Suddenly, a man strikes Kaito at his nape, catching the unconscious Kaito in his arm. It's a dazzling blonde man with azure eyes. On his uniform's collar, a golden badge is pinned.

"That is..." I mumble.

That badge is only given to the 10 best students in the superhero enlightened cohort. That aura emitting from him... I can feel it albeit being only a spectator. It reminds me of Golden Justice.

...

I cut the connection with the virus.

=======================

"A vaccine is currently being developed for the new variant of flu, S97-J, due to the highly infectious nature. About 60% of Sapporo citizens have already been infected but there is no need to worry, its symptoms are no different from regular flu for the time being." The news reports.

Right... I did send my virus across Sapporo, it will be a miracle if the infection isn't as high.

Kaito's subordinates that were at the park were all sent to the hospital after someone alerted the authorities. I didn't have the time to kill them and only used them to remove my virus. Nonetheless, my virus has sent them into a deep coma.

...

There still isn't any message from Ayaka.

I have to move on. There are four main objectives I need to achieve before revealing my true identity:

1- Kill Golden Justice

2- Kill Ayaka

3- Find out how they tracked my location

4- Kill as many heroes as possible.

To achieve every except 3, I need to become stronger. But even when I reach the SSS-Rank, that will not be enough to kill Golden Justice; he is too strong for a direct confrontation.

However, that doesn't mean I can't kill him. I just need another...method. For starters, I should infiltrate the Hero Association and know more about Golden Justice. At the same time, I can complete my third objective.

I start by sending an email to my class's professor, asking to switch from the power education scheme to the hero education scheme.

The next day, I decided to attend the Hero Academy.

Gazes and stares are glued to me from the moment I step in. But, something is different.

"Ayato..."

"What Kaito yesterday did..."

There is no longer anyone that attempts to antagonize me. Although I can feel the glares of a few people I've beaten up, they cower behind fear and curse from afar.

Near the entrance is a large board for announcements. Some students gather around it and left for their lessons. I follow them and notice a paper:

Student Kaito Kazama has been hospitalised for private reasons. His rant has been spread widely and we are currently investigating Professor Adrain's activity. Class of Professor Adrain, you will be assigned a new teacher soon.

Students with any information regarding Professor Adrain may step up and report it to the general office; a reward of 100000 yen will be distributed by the police.

"Disgusting, to think I once viewed him as my idol." A woman behind me mumbles.

...

I walk up to my classroom. The first period consists of Physics and Biology.

*ssssthud*

I slide the door open and everyone turns their attention to me. It was rowdy and noisy a minute ago yet silence fills the atmosphere.

Walking to my seat at the back, I throw my glance at the few people in the front seat that bullied me. They avoided eye contact.

"Phew..."

I yawn and stretch my arms. Suddenly, I feel a presence approaching and turn around, causing my professor to jolt. He is a middle-aged man with a mundane look and dark eye bags.

"What's wrong? Professor...Yamazaki?" I say.

"Ayato... I've received your email. Meet me after school today at my office." He says.

...

=========================

I am once again back here.

*knock knock*

"Come in." Says Professor Yamazaki.

I comply and close down on my way in. Professor Yamazaki gestures at the seat across the desk and I sit on it.

...

...

?

An awkward silence fills the air.

Yamazaki sighs and looks at me with his brows furrowed. "Are you serious?"

I nod. He is referring to my email.

Yamazaki sighs again. "This is the first time I've seen anyone so determined. You...do know what lies ahead of you in the Hero education scheme?"

"I do. It's a place where the strong rule the weak."

"And you still..."

...

For the Hero Education Scheme(HES), students in that stream are not eligible for the ordinary legislation passed down by the government. Instead, the legislation created by the Hero Association applies.

Long story short, nobody will help you except to prevent your death in the HES.

It is a place where only the strongest thrive.
