5 I'm sorry

One week passed.

Raven was reading a book this time it was not relative to anything. Just a fun story about three heroes fighting against the impossible. This book was about hope, death and doubt.

It was a nice way to relax it took away his tiny amount of pain. He dropped the book. His hands trembled due to the pain.

During this week, Ed bullied never stop. The moment he met him the series of punches and kicks came at him. He tried to avoid him but he will always find him.

And the curse also evolved each day. He could not even sleep during the day.

The spirit came to talk to him for a few minutes every day. She helped him in a great way but not good enough.

Each day, his sanity was slipping away from him. He can tell it. He can feel it. He was about to change into something.

Raven closed the book, this time he didn't plan to go to the dining hall. He couldn't withstand the beating anymore.

And eating water and rice was not good for him. Besides he had a place to go. After memorizing the entire basic formation book he wanted to try it.

But the problem is he didn't have any mana. So the alternative way is to draw with mana particles. He placed the book back in its fictional section.

He walked to the back side of the castle.

As he descended the ladder, he saw some old buildings. They are where the Academy placed the trash and other unnecessary stuff. A hang-out spot for the main cast as they were composed of commoners. One high noble, Klenk as well but he was not here in the school yet.

He opened the rusty door handle and opened. Inside the building were boxes. He opened those boxes.

The things Raven was looking for were a Magic pen or a mana pen. Within the first box, he found many pens.

Raven smiled. 'This had to be my first lucky day.' he thought.

He carried the box to the floor. He blew some air to the floor and sat down. And took out a few pens.

He drew something on the floor but nothing came out. He twisted the opener on top of the pen and looked inside.

There were only a few particles left. He opened another pen and carefully dropped the remaining one.

He repeated the same process for an unknown time. Raven found it at peace. He didn't have to look for problems to come or worry about someone.

He didn't have to be afraid or feel shame.

" What are you doing? "

A strong and confident voice came from his back along with strong pressure. Not strong like his Father or the principal but strong nevertheless. The sweat immediately poured from his forehead.

It is getting hot here.

A shadow cast the only light source in the building, the front door. Raven decided to face the voice.

No, he had to.

There, surrounded by the trash he met the one who gave him the curse. The one who ruined the previous Raven's life.

He only met her one time.

" Uh. " Raven pointed at the trash. " I am collecting mana particles. "

Lez looked at where he pointed. A small group of chatter came behind her.

Two girls and two boys.

That is the core main cast of the novel. Raven had been with them during their journey. But he hated them. He hated them in every single flesh soul.

He felt annoyed reading the story. Now even when he saw them, he felt the same. But this time even more.

Lez, is the main protagonist of the story. The chosen one who will lead all humans against demons.

Austin, a love rival for Klenk just a stupid idiot who gets stronger but experiences near death.

Elbert, a gay loved Austin but never confessed to him. Long ranger, is the most vital part of the crew in the war.

Klenk the prince of Fire, the love interest of Lez, the lady killer. Hero. Many names.

Page the girl that will die. Not much is said about her other than mentioning her potential.

Lastly, Grace. This one is a bit bearable but her constant cool tone was annoying.

Raven immediately identified all of them. They all looked at him. Some were disgusted some angry.

Disgust because of his state.

Anger because he insulted Lez's mother.

" Leave. " Austin acted tough. He tilted his head signalling him to go.

But Raven stood there. His mind was filled with countless emotions. Anger, sadness, sanity loss. He could go and never see or meet them again. He alone could try an uncertain plan to cure the curse.

He alone could fight the battle. But within this week he knew his limit. His mind was not supposed to function like this. He will be crazy.

Austin clicked his tongue. He came toward Raven and grabbed his clothes dragging him to the outside. He was thrown outside harshly.

Raven decided. He decided to throw away his pride.

He kneed. His forehead touched the wet soil. Austin saw what he was doing so he stopped.

All of them looked at the pathetic man.

They all heard a little sound.

" I'm sorry. "

Austin frowned, "What? Say again. "

Raven gathered another wave of courage and said. " I'm sorry. I know what I said to you was harsh and inhumanly pathetic. Please forgave me. "

To his hopeful reply, a kick met his face. His whole body flipped. Raven felt almost his spine snap.

" Bastard, do you think you could say these words? " Austin yelled.

Before he could kick Raven again, Lez stopped him. She walked in front of Raven.

Raven looked up. Her figure was strong radiating a strong aura even though she was born a commoner she had the trait of a King.

He can taste iron-filled blood coming from the broken nose. He didn't intend to wipe the blood. He waited for the answer.

" I never thought you would ever apologize. " Lez said.

" Human changed. " Raven replied. " I am simply grown. I know I am wrong so I apologize. "

" No. I refused that apology. " Lez said. She pointed at his scar. " That must hurt at night, right? "

Raven's eyes widened. He was shaken. ' How did she know? She doesn't suppose to know about her curse yet. '

Lez lend toward his ears. She whispered. " That is my gift. My innate talent Forever burns. "

' How? Why? ' Raven checked his memory.

Klenk was supposed to hit the curse and Lez learned to control it. ' That plot line is unnecessary? ' He questioned. ' No. No. '

He found the reason. ' Lez learned to control the curse by fucking with Klenk. They both confessed their love. And Lez learned so fast after that. She must have told him that way because she wanted him. Yeah, the novel showed that Lez interest in Klenk. '

Lez turned around. She said " Goodbye. "

She smiled. It was beautiful.

Grace came toward him with a box. She said " Don't come here to collect trash. It stinks."

She looked at shocked Raven with pity and turned around.

That day was Raven's lowest day. He grabbed the box and walked toward the forest beside the building.

As time passed his movement goes faster. His heartbeat was in his ears. He grabbed the ongoing heart. It hurt.

It was a heart attack.

The reason why was not because Lez didn't help him. It was more than that.

How can a human being look at another and doesn't help? How can they be so cruel? He felt anger toward everyone but not the fact that watched him suffer for months.

The previous Raven was live for three months after the curse. That means he experienced so much pain like he did even more. But he stayed alive without losing his sanity.

" I am weak but strong as well. " Raven laughed.

" Raven didn't plan to revenge. He simply wanted to live. "

He also wanted to live as well. They both fought.

" It is wrong. No one should be that evil. "

He cried. For the first time, he came to this land he cried. But sadness didn't last long in the face of anger.

Status opened. He didn't say a word but it did.

The life-filled forest and green tree leaves the small insects and birds resting on the brunch. They are beautiful. But not more.
