Chapter 15 Catching a new pokémon?

Gray stared dazedly at the pokémon flying in front of him. The little Zubat was scared enough of Gray himself, but since his father had said it was now his trainer, it meant he should connect with it. Crobat had told him many times about his travels with his trainer. Zubat listened to such stories in fascination and wanted to start traveling the world himself, as there was no place for him in this pack. The pokémon flew even closer to Gray and sat on his shoulder. Gray gently stroked it. Zubat tensed at the touch, but then realized that the man was no danger to him.

"Violet... Violet potential, excellent innate movements, two abilities? It looks like that's another advantage of purple potential. Excellent basic pokémon characteristics. Yes, Zubat's initial stats as a first-form Pokémon are quite low, but once he evolves, the sum of his stats will almost double, not to mention his final form. A good enough type of advantage is not the best, but it fits. The best dual-type pokémon is Drapion. Poison or dark-type pokémon. It only has one weakness: an Earth type that does double damage to it. Overall, this is a pokémon that is completely superior to Beedrill. And just as importantly, its diet. Zubat's entire evolutionary lineage feeds only on blood. Pokémon blood is quite common; even a few regular pokémarkets sell it, and there are also specialized stores that sell pokémon blood." Gray thought about the current situation.

The only question that remained was what to do with Beedrill. A vote will be held on my busti to decide Beedrill's fate. You can also write your opinion in the comments; I'm always happy to read your ideas. As a pokémon, he is generally useless to me now. His training value is low for me, as he won't get much stronger now. A few days of training with Zubat is enough for this pokémon to catch up and even overtake Beedrill. My first pokémon can be used for materials. A poison pouch that Zubat will eat, blood with high potential, and its stingers that sell for a fairly high price. Gray decided to hold off on the matter.

The trainer picked up the pokeball used for Beedrill. The pokémon looked at its parent. Their gazes met. It was unknown why, but Beedrill felt intense fear and great sadness. It felt like his parents were now looking at him not as his child but as a thing, wondering if he needed it. A tear involuntarily spilled out of his eye. Somehow he felt like his parents had stopped paying attention to him when this Zubat sat on his shoulders. What had he done wrong? All the moments spent with Gray began to run before Beedrill's eyes. His birth, the way he'd been fed berries. He'd woken his parents on the first day because he was hungry. Their first training together, his metamorphosis, his first battle, stealing the bug fruit—his first and second evolutions Their joint victory over two Pokémon, their escape from a pack of Beedrill... It seemed to Beedrill Gray that his trainer had forgotten all of that. He wanted to run up and show him himself, to make him remember everything they had gone through. But Gray only coldly pressed the button on the pokeball and returned Beedrill to it. What to do with him, he would decide later.

Gray removed his briefcase and took out the Ultraball he found in the gang's safe from there. This Zubat was worthy of that Pokéball.

"Zubat, it looks like the two of us will now have to walk this difficult path in this world. Let's build our own legend, shall we?" Gray said. He clenched his hand into a fist and held it out to the pokémon. Zubat took off from his shoulder, flew around a couple times, and covered his hand with his wing.

"Build your own legend? Of course, I agree. Let's travel together, humans," said Zubat cheerfully. His mind was still childish, so he quickly got used to Gray and was no longer afraid of him.

"My name is Gray Zubat, and we'll come up with a name for you later. It is what will distinguish you from the others." Gray said to his new pokémon. ((As usual, the author is too lazy to come up with names for the pokémon, and he doesn't know how to come up with names, so he's going to leave it up to you, the readers. Leave your thoughts and ideas.)) (What name should I give Zubat?)

An interesting thought popped into Gray's head. He took out a knife and made a small cut in his hand. Hissing a little in pain, he held out his bleeding hand to Zubat.

"Drink, Zubat. I know you must feed on blood, so as a token of our cooperation and future friendship, you may drink my blood." said the trainer with a smile on his face. Zubat hesitated a bit, but since the man himself offered, why refuse to eat? So the small bat flew up to Gray's hand and began to drink the blood. To the pokémon's surprise, it was very tasty and nutritious, even better than many pokémon whose blood he had drunk before.

Crobat watched the entire process of his son's interaction with the man. Memories of how he met his trainer flashed briefly in his mind. He, her being Zubat, was in a very weak state due to a lack of food. That's when the human found him and also gave him a drink of his blood, after which they began traveling together. But this story is from a long time ago. Already, his son was about to embark on an unknown and long journey. Crobat could not send him away empty-handed. He had already found something that he would give to his son on the journey.

"Human, I don't want to let my son go empty-handed. I don't know what will happen next, but right now, I want you to collect as much blood from this Nidoking as possible. He had good potential and was a strong Pokémon, so this blood is very useful. Remember one thing: if Zubats drink the blood of pokémon with high potential, their own will also grow, making their future path easier." - Crobat decided to give the blood to his son. That way, he would have had enough quality food for the first time.

"Thank you very much, Crobat. And you, you little glutton, stop drinking my blood, or I won't make it this far." said Gray jokingly and looked at his already-new pokémon. Zubat flew away from his trainer's hand with reluctance. Gray held out the ultraball to him. Zubat touched the pokéball and was pulled inside. There was no resistance, and the Ultraball clicked, signifying a successful capture. After which, the same released Zubat back in. You could tell by the look on Zubat's face that he didn't really like being in the pokéball and that he preferred to be out in the open more.

Gray pulled all the remaining bottles out of his bag. He calmly walked over to Nidoking's body and tried to make a small cut with his knife, which immediately broke from touching Nidoking's hard skin. Crobat noticed this and flew up to the man. He had forgotten how strong pokémon were, unlike humans. His wings flared, and he made a smooth cut on the pokémon's body, from which blood immediately spurted. Gray collected a few bottles before storing them in his bag. Zubat watched his trainer's actions with gusto.

Gray had to leave. The beedrill had definitely flown from this place by now, and the safest thing to do now was to return to his camp. But before he did, he wanted revenge on the Beedrills who had attacked him.

"Crobat, I have a small gift for you as well. I know the location of the bee's honey. It will be useful for your pack. Perhaps a few of the Zubat will be able to increase their potential. I can guide you to the location. Are you interested in this offer?" Gray asked Crobat. Of course, he was interested in the offer. In any pack, the leader would think about increasing the potential and strength of all pack members. It was the only way they could survive. If Crobat wasn't so strong, it would be him, not Nidoking, who was dead. And it would be his body and the bodies of his pack's pokémon that would be devoured by other pokémon right now.

"Of course I agree, Gray. You wait a little while. I'll gather some pack members and fly back. Maybe wait here for now."Crobat started shouting, using Supersonic to summon some Golbats and Zubats here.

"Don't worry, none of them will attack you. You can lead us to that tree, Gray. I can say goodbye to you at the same time." Crobat said. The man and the pokémon headed on their way. The sun blinded Gray's eyes, perfectly accustomed to the darkness. The ghostly energy began to move away from them, lessening the pain a bit. The trainer led them to the very cursed place where Gray had almost died. Many Beedrills had already made their way back, as had the Queen. They couldn't fly around the entire forest if they wanted to, as they would disturb other pokémon territories. And that would mean starting a war that the Beedrills would lose.

"We're here; this is the tree. There's a hole at the very top where all the honey is. That Queen almost killed me, so kill her as painfully as possible," said Gray. Crobat looked up at the huge tree. Judging by its size, there must have been a large enough amount of honey accumulated there that he could feed all the Zubats with it.

The pack of pokémon began their attack. The Beedrill flew out to offer resistance, but within minutes their entire pack was killed. The flying attack of the Golbats and Zubats cut their bodies in half, leaving them no chance of survival. At this time, Gray walked onto the battlefield and looked at the dead bodies. While the battle was going on, he decided to capitalize on it and began to cut poison sacks out of the Beedrill's bodies. Now his own Zubat's venom development would definitely not be a problem. All that was left was to get the queen's poison sack.

While the other Pokémon were fighting, Crobat flew to the top of the tree. From there, the Queen instantly flew out and wanted to escape, but Crobat was instantly at her side, tearing off her wings. She screamed pitifully, falling to the ground. They did not touch the territory of the Zubats; why did they attack them? Crobat saw the anger Gray was feeling, so he decided to let him kill the queen himself. To be safe, he also chopped off her legs, so she couldn't resist. The head of the pack flew up to Gray.

"Human, there lies the queen. You may kill her personally. That way, you will get revenge on her for trying to kill you," the pokémon dictated, gathering several pokémon around him. They set off to retrieve the honey they had flown in for.

Gray walked over to the Queen. By now her condition looked pitiful and beaten. Not so long ago it had been the other way around. A Shadow Ball formed in Gray's hand, then another on his other hand, another also appeared above his head. They began to appear uncontrollably around Gray's body. The ghostly energy in his body was quickly drained from the core, but was immediately restored. Eventually, about twenty large Shadow Balls flew into the Queen's mangled body. On her last strength, she raised her head and saw the face of the one who was about to kill her. Tears were flowing uncontrollably on that pokémon's face. All the dead Beedrils were her children. And now their pack had come to an end. All because of this man! But her emotions couldn't do anything about it. There was a huge explosion and her body vanished as if it never existed. Only one head, torn off by the explosion, was left lying nearby. Gray walked over and crushed it with his foot. A mixture of blood and brains flooded his shoe, leaving only a crushed mess on the ground. Only now did it realize to Gray that he had forgotten to cut out her poison sack.

*Shadow Ball's master skill has been upgraded to level 2.*

Gray's Zubat was watching his trainer with fear and bewilderment.

"Gray, Gray, how did you do that? That was so cool! You're such a boom, and her body vaporized. You're going to teach me how to do that coach, aren't you? А?? Why are you falling down?" - Zubat spoke quickly as Gray tried to stay on his feet. He had used too much energy and was exhausted. It would soon recover, though. Still holding his balance, he stroked his Zubat.

"I'll train you, and you'll learn things much cooler than what I did. we'll do our best to do that together. Right?" - Gray asked.

"Yes! I will become the strongest Crobat and my father will be proud of me!" - replied Zubat and held out his wing to Gray. He lightly hit it with his fist.
