Synopsis

Balder Asger is the main protagonist of this story. Being the first Viking to sail West and become a legend, the story is about his rebellious nature toward his leader Earl Haraldson and his ambition to become the king of all Norway. His confusion about which God he should pray to and his struggle to raise his son and daughter. the cover art was taken from google if anyone owns this art and wants it to be taken down let me know please.

'wake up' said Ase 'Balder wake up, today is the day our son gets his arm ring ' (Balder wakes up grunting) 'Ase I know the trip will take us a day I am still very early' said Balder 'I don't want our son to be late to this one, he's already a year late because of your laziness other boys his age already have an arm ring' said Ase 'Oh I can't wait for our son to to bind his loyalty to the cunt that bind's my ambition to sail west' said Balder 'my dear if their are lands towards the west you'll find it, if the gods will it, I shall sacrifice a goat for your success in odin's name' said Ase 'where is Rollo anyways we should embark on our journey soon ' Balder gets up wear's his fur coat and leather pants sheaths his sword 'Rollo get ready it is time for you to get you're arm ring my child' shouts Balder 'father i am ready since this morning it is you who has been sleeping' said Rollo the son of Balder 'come my boy it is finally time for you to become a man and get you're arm ring it is a long journey ahead of us to our Earl's arm ring ceremony, has you're mother packed everything we need' said Balder 'yes she even got me a sword ' Balder and Rollo embark on their trip to the capital toward's the earl's ceremony they walk for a day and they set up camp on top of a windy mountain 'hey dad how did you fall in love with mom' said rollo as they munched on the fish they started cooking on the campfire ' i went to confess my love to her but i was set upon by a bear and an enormous hound who guarded her home i killed the bear with my spear and i managed to strangle the bear with my bare hands and that is how i gained her hand in marriage did she tell you the same story' said balder 'just about ' said Rollo chuckling ' are you ready to be a man' said Balder 'yes ' said Rollo ' and what does a man do' said Balder ' he fights and looks after his family ' said Rollo ' could you look after our family' said Balder in a serious manner ' what do you mean ? you look after us' said Rollo ' say i wasn't here i have a big decision to make rollo it may change many things now go back to sleep you have a big day tommorow' said Balder
