11 Chapter 11 - Leo's POV

I woke up to an annoying beeping sound. I slowly opened my eyes and realised I was still in the hospital with Victoria. Doctors came rushing in and went straight to Victoria. The heart monitor machine was showing no heartbeat. I couldn't even hear her heartbeat. Annie was crying on Tristian and they left. I stayed there staring at the scene in front of me. Doctors pushed me to the corner of the room so that they could try to save her. After ten minutes of trying to resuscitate her, they gave up. They pronounced her time of death and left. A nurse took wires out of Victoria and gave me a sad look. She was dead. She died and I couldn't save her. She was gone. My Forever was gone and there was nothing I could do about it. My parents came in and tried to console me but I just pushed them away. I went back to my room and ignored everyone. Tristian and Annie were waiting outside Victoria's room. I ignored them and they knew what that meant. I heard Tristian punch a wall and Annie cry harder. I should have known. Why did I believe that idiotic Duke? I went straight to the dungeon where he was. He might be old, but I didn't care. I put him in silver chains and left him there struggling in pain. This was nothing compared to what I was going to do to him. His daughter Cathy had ran off before we could catch her. She will pay for everything she did. I went up to my room where I could still smell Victoria. I looked at the bay window where she loved to sit. I wanted to show her the world. I could have taken care of her. I could show her everything. I could take her wherever she wanted to go whenever. I would drop everything in a heartbeat for her. On the bay window was a book she was reading, she was reading A Christmas Carol. What was I going to do now? I didn't want to be a king without a queen. I couldn't do it alone. I decided it would be easier to sleep now and deal with everything else later.

I woke up to a knocking on my door. I slowly walked to the door knowing that they wouldn't stop knocking. I opened the door to see Victoria alive and scared. What the hell was going on? She stood there fiddling with the ends of her top. She looked at me with tears in her eyes. I just wanted to hug her. I let her in and she stood in the middle of the room looking around scared. "Your supposed to be dead." I said looking at her still in shock.

"I was with the Moon Goddess and she gave me a choice to die or come back." She replied in a quiet voice. She looked so innocent standing there. So perfect. She was with the Moon Goddess. She visited me once telling me that I needed to search wolf packs for my Forever. The Moon Goddess told me that my Forever was in danger and my parents told me that it looked like I was dead whilst I was with the Moon Goddess. I hugged her. The Moon Goddess must have taken her spirit to her realm. That's why it looked like she was dead. But she wasn't. She was here with me. And she spoke to me. Her voice was soft and quiet. I was going to protect her forever. She was never going to leave my side ever again. I would happily lock her in this room to keep her safe. She moved away from me after a few seconds. "I… I… I'm going to sleep in Annie's room. She told me I had to tell you I was Alive first." She told me and walked out of the room. She didn't want me to touch her. She didn't even come to see me first. She went to Annie. She didn't even want to see me. Tristian came in looking shocked too. He had been kicked out of his room and decided to annoy me by crashing in my room. Great, now I have to put up with his snoring. "How are you feeling?" He asked me.

"She's alive but still won't let me touch her. what am I going to do?" I asked him. He had some experience with Annie being scared of him. He handled it and now they love each other so much. "Annie is taking Victoria shopping tomorrow and we have to go too. Go slowly with her, she's been through a lot." Tristian said before taking up the whole of my bed. He fell asleep straight away and I sat at the bay window. It was about midnight now and the night vamps were out. Some vampires have a piece of jewellery that allows them to walk in sunlight that a witch put a spell on. Only certain vamps have them and they are expensive to get. However, we also have vamp wolf hybrids so they don't need jewellery and also witch vamps. Those who don't have jewellery walk around at night. We have warriors that train at night for night patrol. We also have a day patrol too. Time to get to sleep so we can do shopping in the morning. I had to figure out how to say sorry to Victoria though. How could I get her to forgive me? I had to take it slowly. I would just watch her tomorrow and anything that she didn't buy but liked, I was going to get her and surprise her. I wonder what she liked? Maybe she liked reading? I wanted to know everything about her and that's what I fell asleep to. Thinking about my Victoria sleeping next to me in the future
