Chapter 19

By the time Yu Yingyi woke up from her comfortable nap, they were already back at the palace.

Looking around, there didn't seem to be anyone outside of the carriage, they were the only two inside the carriage.

"Have you woken up from your nap, sleeping beauty?" asked Song Liya.

"Yes, where are the guards? Shouldn't they be here?" Yu Yingyi asked.

"We don't need guards, remember you have me here. Plus, we arrived a while ago, the guards had to prepare for a special occasion for my family so no one will be in the palace. It'll only be us two." Song Liya answered

From the way she talked and the tone of her voice, Yu Yingyi knew she was back to her normal self, how unfortunate, she would've liked to see the cute side of Song Liya a little longer.

Recalling the words Song Liya just said, they were going to be the only two people in the mansion which is weird since it was rare for that to happen.

Unless...

"Liya, where are your parents going?" asked Yu Yingyi.

"They're going to a banquet, I'm not sure about the details since I didn't care enough since I have you with me," said Song Liya.

Yu Yingyi recalled something about this in the novel. It was called the Thousand Flower Blooming Banquet, it was a gathering of royalty from other empires.

This event allowed royalty from other empires to talk to each other peacefully, there could be no hostility or violence being displayed or else they'd be executed, it was an unwritten law.

"I see, a banquet huh..." muttered Yu Yingyi.

'What is it darling? Did you want to go to the banquet? Unfortunately, they won't allow you to go since you're still a commoner, even with me you wouldn't be able to go."

"I never said I wanted to go, I was just imagining what it'd be like. Moreover, shouldn't we head in now? The wind is starting to get cold."

"You're right, let's go in."

On their way inside, Yu Yingyi started thinking about some things. Since the Thousand Flower Blooming Banquet was going to be a banquet full of royalty, shouldn't Song Liya have gone since she is literally the princess?

Unless someone was taking her place, but there was no one in the world that could do that. Unless...it could only be one person.

Song Feng Mian, the twin sister of Song Liya. But that wasn't the surprising part, the surprising part was that the banquet was supposed to be held a month from now where Song Liya met her husband who was used as a tool to help Song Liya obtain a higher role in the society.

Pitiful.

Although Yu Yingyi wanted to think more about the butterfly effect, there was no time for that. The silence in the air gave Yu Yingyi a relaxing feeling, it calmed her mind down and felt her shoulders loosen.

She didn't even realize it was stiff.

"The quietness is nice," muttered Song Liya.

"It is, it gives me a relaxing feeling." Yu Yingyi replied as she followed Liya to their room.

"I guess the silence is quite comforting, it's also quite useful too."

"How so?"

"When we're doing it, it'll allow me to only hear your moans, nothing else."

"Song Liya!"

Smoke was coming out of Yu Yingyi's ears, a huge blush crept up to her cheeks.

"Haha! It's fun seeing you embarrassed, but don't worry, I've already seen all of you so when we do it, there's no need to be afraid to show me your body," said Song Liya.

"Huh...? What do you mean you've already seen all of me?" asked Yu Yingyi.

"You don't remember? When we first moved in together, there was this time when you decided to take a shower and you told me not to peek in? Well, the door was slightly open so I decided to take a peek, and oh my god, your body is beautiful."

'This...this perverted woman!'

"SONG LIYA! YOU BETTER RUN!" Yu Yingyi shouted.

Immediately, Song Liya started running away from the angry Yu Yingyi. Yingyi knew there was no way she could catch up to Song Liya since she wasn't athletic at all, except for the badminton part.

Running was never a thing for her even if she had good stamina.

"HAHA! YINGYI~ I think you're too slow to catch up to me."

Song Liya teased, stopping for a moment just to tease her.

"Hmph, just watch me!"

Yu Yingyi was filled with determination to catch this pervert, she deserved punishment for peeking at her body without permission. Peeking at her body, in general, was bad!

Yu Yingyi felt something strange awakening inside her but ignored it.

In the end, Yingyi wasn't able to catch up to Song Liya, the gap between them widened instead.

*PANT* *PANT*

"This...this isn't fair. You've had training before which makes you more athletic by me several million times." Yu Yingyi said as she panted slowly.

"Oh? Excuses? I've heard you playing badminton in the area we were in before, was that just a lie?" asked Song Liya.

"Of course not! Badminton and running in a huge palace are completely different. Plus, I haven't done anything any exercise at all ever since I came here, so there's that."

"That's not good Yingyi, you need to be athletic or have decent stamina to keep up with me."

"Keep up with you in what? It's not like we're going to be doing sports or anything like that."

"Sports? What're you talking about? I'm talking about when we're in bed, how am I supposed to have my fun when you pass out too early?"

"You! Stop with the dirtiness! As a princess, you shouldn't have such shameful thoughts!"

"Haha! You should see your reaction, it was priceless! But I'm the princess, not anyone else, so it's fine."

"Urg-"

Yu Yingyi couldn't argue with that, Song Liya had always been different from all of the princesses in the world.

She was truly one of a kind, she had good points and bad points, but mostly bad points.

"Just let me go shower in peace now...."

"Sure! But remember to make chocolate again!"

"Yes, yes."

Yu Yingyi suddenly felt like she made a bad choice cause Song Liya seemed like she was getting addicted to it.

Nonetheless, she was going to make more anyway, she still had to taste it for herself.

Wait...didn't that mean she also used Song Liya as a test dummy for her food, what would've happened if the chocolate she made was poisoned somehow and she accidentally killed Song Liya...

Yu Yingyi mentally noted to test the chocolate out before giving it out to people just in case something happens, you never know.

After a warm refreshing shower, Yu Yingyi put on pajamas and relaxed into the bed. Although she said she was going to make chocolate, she didn't say WHEN she was going to make it.

Song Liya, get outplayed.

Of course, Song Liya knew what she was trying to do, it was like an instinct.

"Yingyi! Make chocolate, please!"

"No way, I'll make it when I'm not tired. It's already almost nighttime, if you eat the chocolate now, you won't be able to sleep because of the caffeine inside it."

"Caffeine? What's that?"

"It's a type of substance since the chocolate that increases the activity in your brain to make you stay refreshed meaning you won't be able to rest."

"I see, that definitely is useful, please make it now."

"Ha!? Why do you still want me to make it even after I told you why I don't want to make it?"

"Because that would mean we both would stay awake all night and we could do it the entire night, that would be amazing."

At this point, Yu Yingyi was already used to Song Liya's perverted lines.

"It doesn't work like that..."

Suddenly, out of nowhere, Song Liya was on top of her on the bed with her wrists being gripped by Song Liya.

There was suddenly a weird tension in the air, just what is this?

"Yu Yingyi, if I don't get to taste the chocolate, how about I taste you instead?"
