Chapter 94: Necross Ascension

All the Dracaryx attacks fused together and formed an astral head of a blue dragon that roared and breached towards the gigantic Necross Dragon, making it dissolve to particles! Then there comes an explosion and a dazzling flash of light!

That is the loudest explosion I've ever heard. It deeply resembles those of the atomic bomb that can break wind barriers and make a sonic boom. Considering that this certain place is a warzone, explosions like that is rarely known to the mankind. Our last resort of assault surely made a direct hit to the gigantic demon.

Because of releasing Dracaryx, all dragons on our side relapsed back to their humanoid form. Except the Savior Dragon, which currently I'm riding on. I don't know the rules of the Crimson Dragonfly dragon about using another Dracaryx. I guess I'm seriously overpowered right now.

The superior attacks unleashed towards the gigantic Necross Dragon were no joke. The combination of our heart's resonance made the demon god's body melted like Styrofoam on a bonfire. Only the lower body remained intact, and the upper body was converted into bones and burnt meat! His spines, which are outright visible right now, was colored darkish red because of the blood that splattered everywhere! The skull is partly visible, and a gigantic black beating object- his heart, was now exposed!

"Now!" Estoff shouted.

I will do it even if you didn't tell me! The Savior Dragon opened up its wings and photon boosters was revealed, which ignited a bluish light! In a flash, we have closen the distance, enough for my dragon's sword range!

"Dracaryx!!! Activate Requiem Aeternam!!!"

Savior Dragon raised the ancient golden sword, and the runes engraved on it glowed with red neon light. Then the sword became engulfed in a perfect white flame as we slashed through its gigantic black heart! There was a bright silent light that bleached the skies that would mistakenly mistake as dawn!

After a few moments, the lights faded, and not a single remnant of the Necross Dragon can be seen. Only Yuri Dragunov, who was standing on top of the demonic cathedral and watch the fight was the only enemy left. But Dragunov didn't look astounded. He looks much unimpressed.

"Fool! You wasted your strength to fight a piece of Necross! He is immortal! Because…"

Suddenly, a red lightning came from above. It has the Underworld planet as its source, and hit the top of the cathedral, a few meters behind the lunatic duke! There revealed Nox/Necross, with his new perfect body, without any scratches of bruises. He made this grim smile at me once again.

We've been fighting a pointless war, then! That demon is a regenerating immortal but even if I had landed an insta-kill, he will be renewing his body in no time! There's no way to defeat this guy!

"Dragunov." Necross grabbed the crazy duke's attention. When Dragunov looked behind him, he was immediately stabbed to the heart by the giant broadsword! His upper body was crushed by his ally! The wound was so big that Dragunov's left shoulder and arm fell off!

"I'm sick tired of waiting for the last kill count." Necross laughed once again. "Don't worry, I'll hold my end of the bargain. You will be able to meet your parents, wife, and kids after a few minutes. In the Underworld."

Dragunov tried to speak, but as soon as he opened his mouth, blood sprayed all over the place. Necross withdrew his sword and let his old man kiss the ground, lifeless.

And then Necross, with his eyes now completely black, glared at me. He used his broadsword to stab himself straight to his chest, and a dark aura emerged to cover his whole body!

"LET'S END THIS HERE AND NOW, EYE OF DEUS!!!

ACTIVATING NECROSS PULSE!!!

NECROSS ASCENSION!"

There was a loud double boom that was heard all over the world. Then a three-second silence. And then there it is again. The loud noise, in a form of an echoing heartbeat came from the skies. The Underworld. Every time the planet beats like a heart, the rings of the red planet create a colorful shockwave like those of the aurora borealis. Then the Underworld slowly darkened as if it was being corrupted and converted into a much sinister object as it continues to beat louder and faster.

Don't tell me he…

"Yes." Necross said as if he heard my mind. "The Underworld is the heart of hell itself. It is the true form of all entity's wickedness and sins. It is the evil given form. The Underworld is the collective unconscious of the dead souls who have ever wandered through the lands of this planet."

Necross's body slowly faded as it converts its own body into ashes which flew and absorbed by the falling planet. The gravitational pull of the Underworld is so intense that I can feel the gigantic Savior Dragon being pulled with it!

NOW, ALL CREATURES SHALL MEET THEIR END IN THE HANDS OF THE UNDERWORLD!!!

It was a telepathic message from that planet, and it hurts my head! All of us felt this burning sensation on our heads. The Savior Dragon was severely affected that it made a deafening roar! After a few moments, the Crimson Dragonfly has been cancelled which degenerated Airi and Exceria back to their human form.

Slowly, the planet shaped itself into a much more colossal version of the Necross Dragon! It's size is planetary, so to speak! It was not clear enough because of the dark skies, but the shadow of the dragon is enough to prove its godly power!

Though it has a distance of about a thousand kilometers away from us, I feel that we are severely underpowered. That planetary dragon can ruin the planet itself in just one stroke of a hand. Come to think of it, I didn't sign to fight a galactic supervillain! I just wanted a peaceful world where dragonoids can have all the freedom they want! Do I really have to defeat that unholy god? How the heck am I gonna do that?

As if it was already enough, the screams of the million dead reverbs throughout the thin atmosphere. Numerous dark dots started appearing from the skies, and it seems like the planetary dragon was the source of it. It is soon that I discovered that those dots…are infinite number of zombies diving from the ionosphere.

THE ARMY OF UNDEAD DRAGON KNIGHTS THAT SHALL SLAUGHTER THE LIVING HAS COME!!!

As I went to regroup with my comrades, I recognized all their grim expression. Some of them gulped, some are sweating like rain, and some had their eyes dazed. But all of us have this chill on our spine and cold on our legs. This is the true power of Necross Ascension. And it is now too late for all of us.

"Are those stars…our enemies?" Cleru muttered.

Those are not stars. Undead creatures, which are now glimmering with random lights only says one thing; they have activated their Vesryn Pulse. It's not just a horde. It's not just an empire.

We will be fighting against dragon knights who has ever lived and died.
