CHAPTER 293: Throwing Up Blood

The shock she saw in Saphira tells her that it was also the first time that she saw that scene, that from back then, Saphira has no idea of who that was.

And it was the first time for both of them to realize that all along, the one behind that kidnapping of the past, was already among them.

"Stormie!! If it is nothing why are you covering it up from us. I felt like I know-"

"ENOUGH!!!"

All of them were utterly shocked with the way she snapped at Nixon.

"Let's just wait," she then added.

Even at this point she was doing her best to control the surge of emotions within her.

She and Saphira can't have them see that.

The scene of the past that even the two of them had difficulties digesting, had difficulties in burying within their minds.

She felt like vomitting just as those memories kept rushing back to her.

"Hey are you okay?" Willow asked seeing her look.

"I am al-"

Before she could finish her words she ended up vomiting everything she had eaten for the day.

Nixon's curiosity was overthrown by her sudden throwing up.

"Stormie!!"

He rushed to her and a step behind him was Felix.

"It's fine, I am alright. I just suddenly felt dizzy," she replied.

No matter what she do, the scene kept replaying in her mind.

That naked body touching another's body incessantly made her throw up once again.

It was a scene she saw in her childhood that despite being older, just remembering it made her stomach turn.

"You are not fine at all," Nixon said worriedly.

This was the first time he had shown so much attention to her for the past month that passed.

All his reservation about not messing up her mind and heart were thrown away.

How can one stay indifferent when the one you love is suffering about something you have no idea of?

How can you stand on the side and leave it to someone else to worry for her when all your attention was left on her?

You don't love that person enough if you are to not move when you are in such situation.

In reality, Stormie wasn't the only one like this, Saphira was in a worst condition as she devour that darkness.

But before she started devouring, something else have happened that the rest were unaware of.

She used her light to attack Flora, that was weakened by Felix and Nixon.

Her attack landed but before she could deliver the finishing blow, a burst of dark clouds came from above.

A hand pulled Flora by her waist and she was enveloped in an embrace.

"My Lord," she happily said and weakly leaned on his embrace.

Saphira's eyes than had shown ferocity in the past, was showing more at this moment.

Her hatred reaching the maximum even making the light surrounding Lily to fluctuate.

'Saphira!!' Lily and Vermilion Bird called out.

"I know," she gritted her teeth in anger.

She knew it was not yet time, and she knew that he came here without the intention to fight yet. She can feel it after all, that he may exude darkness but there was no intention to attack.

He must have come here to save Flora, at the same time to make his presence known. That he was still there, creating all the chaos that was going on.

The Dark Lord smirked at her, and even though she couldn't clearly see his face as it remained shrouded in darkness.

She could still clearly see the confidence in him that he won't lose to them.

"Smile now, don't worry I will make sure that you will not be able to do so in the long run," she spoke.

"You are still hiding something from them. They might die in shock you know," he said coldly and his voice was filled with mock.

"Even if it means that I will have to walk at the edge of death, I will make sure they won't. After all seeing is still more believable than simply hearing it," she replied.

Up to this point she still held stubbornly on her own selfishness.

She won't tell, she didn't want to be the one to speak of the truth. She'd rather they see. Just that she will surely keep her promise.

That she won't let any of them die.

The Dark Lord laughed, "We'll see about that."

With a wave of his hand, Samuel who was close to dying were surrounded with dark clouds. The Dark Lord and Flora were the same.

"We'll see, Saphira."

That's the last she heard followed by a laugh coming from hell when they disappeared in front of her.

Before Saphira could calm down, she heard the noises coming from the darkness that Flora has released.

Because of the appearance of the Dark Lord, she had forgotten about it.

But now, she once again looked back and she had to see everything up close in a clearer scene.

She felt her insides turning not simply with the food she had eaten but even her blood.

She felt like throwing up blood right now.

She needs to devour it in order for it to disappear and that means she needs to face it, to confront it.

A child trauma is the most difficult to overcome.

And among everything that happened to her and she had witnessed, this is the most disgusting that it was also the most difficult to forget.

Hunter seeing Stormie's condition and remembering how she and Saphira had the same reaction, called to her.

"Stormie let me out, I need to see Saphira."

Stormie knew Saphira must be suffering as well that she allowed him to leave.

The moment he did so, he didn't get the chance to call for Saphira before the scene was displayed right in front of him.

Hands roaming the body of a child, touching and groping.

A look of perverse and the cries of that child.

"I'll make you remember my touch. Remember and engrave that in the future you will only look for me. Me alone."
