CHAPTER 291: Will Never Be Your Fault

"They do love using numbers against us, don't they?" Stormie replied to him.

They had gotten stronger but it is a known fact that their number is still lacking.

Though they prefer this because they didn't wish to watch other people die before them. Instead they'd rather fight on their own, exhaust themselves and finish everything.

"You kids seriously should know that you are not alone."

With their thoughts, they felt some incomers and were stunned to see the group of knights coming their way to help them.

"All of us have decided to keep being knights despite the rise of the darkness, it is because we choose to put our lives on the line just like you are. That we may never return and you all think the same way."

As the knights of this empire started fighting alongside them with their own beasts, one of the leading person, spoke to the four of them.

"Not everyone is the same. When we saw you come to this land and watched you battle the remaining demonic beasts and dark forces without saying anything, we new, you wouldn't ask for our help. So we are joining you of our own accord. Whether we die or not, it will never be your fault."

After that little speech, he went and supported the rest.

The four of them who are defending against the attacks left and right from Samuel and Flora, were seriously pleasantly surprised to hear those words.

Even though it was a chaotic battle, they actually received such heart warming words.

Their hearts that got used in accepting things as they were, that most people would look at them as sacrificial ones, who should fight no matter how tired they were, somehow was invigorated once more.

That's right, they weren't simply doing their mission, they were also saving these types of people.

The people whom they will personally think as people who is worthy of being protected by them.

Flora rolled her eyes at the way they interacted before raising her hand once again and another batch of flowers sprouted ready to attack that man.

"Oh no you don't," Stormie spoke and used her wind to cut all those plants off.

Then each of them stepped in between the fighting knights and Flora and Samuel.

The knights of Alcyone Empire were now fighting the demonic beasts and dark forces while the four of them together with their beasts are facing Flora and Samuel.

Flora clicked her tongue before calling out her demonic beast.

It was a giant devil flower with teeth on its center. The petals were dark violet and the tips were obviously oozing with miasma.

The leaves were like a number of arms intertwined together to form the shape of a leaf.

It stood on the ground and it was pretty obvious that the roots were moving beneath the earth.

"Phoenix, focus on burning this beast down," Felix spoke to his beast.

"Basilisk, support the rest of the knights. You have encountered most of the demonic beasts attacking them. You already have the poison needed to kill them," Ridge said to Basilisk.

"Roc, focus on Samuel's beast," Stormie followed.

Samuel's demonic beast was a dark eagle.

It was gigantic and its claws were dripping with poison.

This beast wasn't present during their first battle which showed that he underestimated them back then. But now, it appeared and Samuel has recovered. The battle with him, would surely be different.

"Black Tortoise, guard the ground," Nixon said to Black Tortoise.

With water, he can survey the earth and know the movements of Flora's beast and her own attacks.

Nixon, prepared his ice attacks.

Fire and Ice are their best option in battling Flora.

Stormie and Ridge looked at one another before they went to face Samuel.

Felix and Nixon will be facing Flora.

"Have you contacted them?" Nixon asked Felix.

"Don't worry, the moment they appeared, I have already sent the message," Felix replied.

"We have not really fought together but I think we can do this just fine," Nixon told him.

"Surely we can, after all, we have the same taste when it comes to woman."

Nixon almost tripped at Felix's words.

"You..."

"Since I am watching her closely, I am also able to notice your actions," Felix shrugged before brandishing his sword, cutting another batch of flowers.

Nixon pursed his lips, "Well, I have no plans to compete. Things are too chaotic right now."

Felix smiled understanding his words.

He has no plans of competing but it was only because of the situation.

If not for their current condition, Nixon wouldn't hold back.

He didn't say a thing as the two of them jumped on either side when a ferocious root attack came below them.

There is no more time to speak, they can only focus on their battle.

They asked for help but that doesn't mean they plan on waiting and simply fight when the rest are there.

They have strengthened themselves all this time, how can they say that they did if they always needed the help of the rest?

With that thought, each of their attacks became stronger and precise.

If one were to look at it, they will think that Saphira, Hunter and Drake are their core. But then, will they leave everything to their core?

No, they are tired of always waiting for the help that will come.

They can fight and they are stronger than when they just meet again.

With that they knew they can fight.

As long as they focus, they will surely see how they can defeat these two.

Just like now, Samuel may no longer be underestimating them but his attacks does not show any sign of defending for a counter.

Stormie and Ridge took advantage of that and just as Samuel focused on Stormie's sword, Ridge, who had been training attack from behind causing an injury, he wouldn't have been able to do in the past.

On the other hand, Flora focuses too much on her ability than while Felix gave the support in burning these flowers down, Nixon sneaked up in front of her to confront her at a close distance battle.
