I groaned out of frustration. Gwynette, a friend of mine, stared at me and pulled her eyebrows together. She gave me a look and Reinier answered for me, "Girl problem, as usual."

"Hey, Ethan Jace. Brace yourself." Piolo looked behind me so I turned around to see what he was looking at. As soon as I did it, I regretted the action I've made. I messed my hair and bowed my head down.

Someone tapped my back and I already knew who it was.

"Hey, look at me!" I rolled my eyes as she placed her hands on my shoulders and forced me to turn around. I stared at her without any expression plastered on my face. Her mood changed as soon as we faced each other.

Tears fell from her innocent eyes, "What's wrong, baby? Why did you break up with me? I thought we're fine? Please tell me about your problems." Her friends comforted her. She cried even more which made her friends to threw deadly glares at me. "You're such an asshole." Her friend commented. Oh, I don't think she'll have the guts to tell that to me if she knew what her friend did to me. But obviously, they didn't know anything at all and assumed that everything their friend told them was the whole story. A one-sided story is the worst!

I exhaled slowly, "You know my problems." I emphasized each word. She suddenly stopped crying and scoffed. She arched her brow, "You're a fucking playboy!" And left after slapping me hard. Gwynette stood up, ready to fight any time soon but I grabbed her wrist to stop her. There's no point in arguing with someone close-minded like Diana.

Other students were looking at me so Reinier did what's his best at, it was to make people uncomfortable. "Well, well. The show's already done. What are you guys looking at?" The people proceed to eat like nothing happened at all.

Reinier pointed at me, "That's what you get for tolerating their shit. Next time, make sure to stand up for yourself so that you won't make a fool of yourself in front of everybody." His boyfriend, Piolo, sighed deeply. "I think he did the right thing. It's not their business to meddle with their relationship anyway. So they don't have to know everything about them." I nodded as I agreed to what he just said. "And of course, she'll probably lose her confidence if I embarrass her in front of everyone. And I don't want to feel guilty for that." I added.

Reinier just rolled his eyes. I thought the conversation was done but I was startled when I felt cold water poured down my head. Gwynette loses her calm self and grabs Diana's hair. Diana didn't back out and did the same. Piolo held my shoulders tightly, trying to calm me down. But it didn't help me enough so I went to grabbed Diana's wrist to stop her from hurting my friend. Hurt me all you want but never lay your hands on my friends.

"Fuck off, Diana!" She was startled when I shouted. I don't care if everyone's looking at me. I'm so done with her. I'll deal with everyone later.

I didn't remove my hand on her wrist. I glared at her with so much irritation in my eyes. "Don't stop and I'll expose you to everybody. You don't want that, don't you?" She scoffed and held my uniform tightly. "You won't do that."

I smirked, "I chose not to because I don't want to ruin your reputation. But if you keep bothering me and friends, I swear to God, your fucking high school life will be ruin that you'll decide to fucking drop out of here. Don't test me."

She laughed nervously but managed to make a brave expression, "You don't even have proofs."

I took my phone out of my pocket and let her see things she called proofs. "Fuck off," I emphasize the words. I saw how scared her eyes were. She pushed her friends and finally moved away from us. I told myself that I'll never waste my time on her but I just did.

Reinier let me borrowed his handkerchief and we helped Gwynette to fix herself. I glared at the people around us that were murmuring things. That's why they should never mess with my friends because I'll never forgive them If they did.
