1 Crashing into You

Eddie Brock, a news reporter, was in the middle of the woods. He was investigating an organization called Life Foundation that did similar work to NASA. Eddie received an anonymous tip from a woman who claimed to be working for a company that was a former sponsor of Life Foundation.

He went to investigate after being told an unidentified aircraft was spotted in the woods by some civilians. He could take a wild guess that the witnesses were already reporting to the police (and the officers didn't believe them). Or Life Foundation "silenced" them to prevent word spreading from rumors to the CBS news station, where Eddie is currently working. He saw light beams up ahead and it was an unnatural color. It was turquoise. Normally when there is something strange going on deep in the woods, the wise thing to do would be to avoid the area and head back to their city. But Eddie did the opposite as investigating these situations was part of his job description.

He heard strange sounds, sounds that didn't match any person, animal, or man-made technology. As he walked, he felt his jaw drop. The unidentified aircraft was stunning. He was about to approach when he heard growling. Then the aircraft door opened.

Oh shit! He thought as he hid behind a tree. He couldn't believe it. This was like that movie E.T. and it was happening right before him. His eyes widened in shock as an individual was walking out of the aircraft. It seemed muscular. He needed to take a video of this as proof but as he turned on the camera, aiming it at the aircraft, the creature wasn't there anymore.

"Hello creature", the alien greeted from behind with a deep voice. Eddie was frozen with fear. He slowly turned around and made eye contact with the creature. The first thing he noticed was that he was eight feet tall, the second was that it was pitch black all over except for its pearl-white eyes and razor-sharp teeth. Eddie did what any normal person would do when spotted by a nonhuman entity. He ran, as fast as he could, back to the city. But the creature was running after him.

Eddie knew he couldn't outrun the thing but maybe find a place to hide. Unfortunately, the creature leaped over him and stopped him in his tracks.

"Calm down human! Wait you are human right?" The creature asked and Eddie was surprised that it could speak fluently in English and knew what he was.

"You can speak! What the hell are you?"

"I am Venom, a Klyntarian species from planet Knull, you are an intelligent life form?"

Eddie nodded slowly. The creature smiled with joy. "Teach me the ways of your people and in return, I will repay you for your gratitude".

Part of Eddie was hoping this was a dream, this situation was too good to be true. And another part was hoping this was a prank. But this 'alien' looked far too real and he wanted to touch its muscular limbs. He was in top shape. Eddie then felt a sense of suspicion. "What is the purpose of your face?"

Eddie was amazed, frightened, and humored by the creature's question. Then Venom walked to Eddie who took a few steps back. He placed his hands on Eddie's forehead the next thing that happened was…weird.

Eddie felt like he was in the water, he felt Venom's hands…melting into his skull. Eddie knew he couldn't free himself from his grip, but he had to try. He tried slipping away and ran for dear life. He had no idea what Venom was trying to do but kept running. Then he heard the sound of vehicles driving in his way. Eddie knew it was Life Foundation. They were headed to where the extraterrestrial aircraft was but found nothing. Eddie ran for dear life to a road. He knew that he was close to the city. Then he heard shooting. He knew it wouldn't be smart to go towards the sounds of guns being fired. But he thought that if those Life Foundation goons had shot down Venom then he could take quick pictures and make sure they were shown on his segment. As he ran back he noticed sounds of screaming. Then a screeching sound.

What the hell is happening right now?

Then he just realized he was being an idiot by just standing still. So he ran back to his motorcycle and drove off, back to the city.

He needed to report to Jack at MNBN.

Back in the forest, Venom was easily defeating the men who attacked him. "Human brains taste good, these creatures are a bit pathetic. Though that human I met before them was really…interesting".

He went back to his ship which was camouflaged. He took some clothes and disguised himself. Then he went inside his ship and decided to move it while still in camouflage. He drove across the nearby city.

"These species are strange…and a little primitive".

Venom didn't understand the rules of the road. He noticed that some people were a bit short-tempered, like two humans shouting at each other. And their vehicles were making irritating noises.

"Smiri, scan the data I collected from one of the humans", He ordered. The computer started to display facts about the human.

Eddie was at his apartment, busy phoning his boss. He needed to make the world aware of what he just witnessed.

"Jack, it's Eddie, I got something big and you need to see this…Yes it has something to do with Drake! Trust me, you will not regret this".

Then there was knocking at the door. Who is at the door at this hour? Nobody who knows me, and I didn't order anything. Oh crap!

It's not possible! He made sure to not attract Carlton Drake's attention. Then again, he did sneak into the Life Foundation Facility. Then the door busted open. Eddie felt like his heart was on pause. Standing before him was someone who should have stayed in the woods.

"Hi Eddie Brock".
