2 Identity

"Run Away, Chris."

"No, Kars. You are an important part of my family!"

"You have to go, Chris. Remember what I'm telling you last time when you were graduating?"

"I don't care about that! I want you to stay alive!"

"Listen to me, Chris. You have to stay alive whatever it takes!"

Those voices were running Chris's mind amok as he walked towards the massive door with a small hole that fits the average human's finger.

'I remember that everyone who needs to enter the academy hall had to place their thumb at this hole.' He observed that hole which was visibly seen in his jade green-colored iris.

He reminisced himself while looking at that door as he rose his head and murmured,

'This is the place where I was meeting my destiny with my past life's magic known as Lightning Magic. At that time, Kars was having a hard time brewing the medicine for me to make sure that I'm not going to have a side effect when I was off-control over my magic.'

Thus, he pushed his right thumb gently to the hole of the massive-sized door that was stood sturdily in front of him.

In the hole at the door, the finger dances through the endpoint of the spot.

The thumb slowly danced to fill the hole, and the trigger was clicked as soon as the thumb had filled the hold with that voice being heard clearly by bystanders who observed Chris's movement.

As the click voice being heard. The door was started to open by itself. Slowly but surely... The door opened with the loud pulling voice surprised the bystanders who focused on their own talks.

Chris observed the door walking back without requiring him to move and push it with his own energy.

And then, the door was wide open.

He walked towards the light that radiated from the door calmly as it had opened.

Thus, he entered the place which led him to murmur on his mind,

'This... Academy's hall. At that time, I remember that this was the place where I start to build a guild... But...'

When he had his nostalgic memory, the unpleasant voices were heard clearly by him at his memory...

"You should die, extinct race!" A heavy male voice yelled at him, which was continued by a female voice that said,

"You are not deserving any of our kind being your wife, monster!"

And at the same time... It was a voice that led Chris to yell in agony. Thus, an old man yelled at him.

"Mr. Jansen!"

"It hurts!!" Chris reacted in a painful tone as he grabbed his horns hard.

"Shall I call the physician for you?" The old man who ran away towards him asked while gently placing his right hand on his left shoulder.

"It's not needed, Professor Kijorn. I'm fine for now." Chris replied as he tried to rub his head calmly while holding the painful feeling that was running amok on his head.

"Did you have the bad past dwelling on your mind?" The old man asked him in his fatherly tone. Thus, he looked at that old man who was a human with a pointy nose. That beautiful sapphire-colored iris had enriched the beautiful look at his eyes with a perfect tone of yellow skin that colored his face.

Thus, Chris stood while pulling that old man with the scholar suit worn at his body up. And he replied to him as he said,

"Some nightmare dwelled on my sleep recently. Seems like it happened thanks to the wrong magical element I have chosen earlier."

"I don't think it was about your magic, Mr. Jansen. But I afraid that you will need to master the other magic that... might lead you to your class failure."

"May I know what was that?" Chris asked him as he followed the old man after he shoved his hand for not allowing him to help.

The old man did not respond at all but only walked towards the stairs in the hall's middle. The stairs that they were climb were the stairs that were designed for two men who stood altogether. And it led him to say,

"You have to be careful, Professor Kijorn. You have been aged enough. Let me piggyback you towards the upstairs. So we can reach your office to assess my magical prowess as soon as we can."

As he requested that to the old man who rejected his offer, he whispered on his own mind,

'You are like my father for me! Clearly, I won't let you feeling burdened this time!'

The old man replied to him as he rejected the offer by revealing his right palm. Thus, he replied to Chris,

"It's okay. I'm not that old for doing this. Besides, you haven't finished your magical assessment yet."

"If that's the case... Apologize for my impudence, Mr. Kijorn." He bowed his head at the same time when he had stated so. As a sign of apologetic feeling that dwelt on his heart when he was decided to ease his burden, but it ended that he had worsened his burden.

Then, they ambled as both of their shoes were tapping the beautifully crafted wooden spiral stairs.

One round of the spin...

Two rounds of the spin...

Three rounds of the spin...

And finally... They had arrived at the luxurious place that led Chris to remark on his mind,

'And this place... The place where my guild... was started...'

He sauntered towards the desk that was not that far from his perspective as the tapping voice heard through the red carpet in the middle while it clashed with his shoes.

Thus, he reached the desk with many scattered documents that piled up all over the desk. And, there was a thing that remained neat and well put at that desk.

"Shall we retry the magical assessment again?" He asked the old man, who sauntered towards his desk. And he replied with his fatherly voice that echoed while walking as he said,

"You can. But, I have to check your heartbeat first before assessing it again."

Thus, he walked in a gentle tone from the tapping voice at his foot with the ground.

The old man had reached looked at him shortly after arriving on Chris's left side. He pulled his right hand up and patted his head gently by using his right palm. Thus, he told Chris,

"You are pretty new to this thing. I will teach you later how I manage to suppress my magical voice when I was walking."

Thus, he removed his hand from Chris's head, requested him shortly after he did so as he said,

"May you raise your right hand?"

Chris looked at him as he moved his body to face the old man face-by-face.

Thus, the old man grabbed his right hand by using his left hand. And then, he placed his thumb at his vein and pressing it gently.

Dug!! Dug!! Dug!!

The heartbeat's voice that dances through the vein had been able to be heard by the Professor.

Ten seconds ahead had been passed. Thus, the old man remarked to Chris,

"Alright. You are safe for now. Let's assess your magic."

As soon as the Professor had said so, Chris had moved his hand out as the old man requested earlier.

The old man walked to his desk, and he sat on his magical chair that nobody could be seen the thing, but he could see it.

Thus, he pushed the magical ball gently towards Chris, and he requested at him,

"Now, raise your hand to this ball."

Thus, Chris moved his right hand to the ball and then. The old man enchanted.

"O'Nature. The man here needs his enlightenment to improve his magical prowess. He shall accept his new enlightenment as the demise had almost befallen upon him. Hear me, and unlock his magic. Indent!"

Chris had lost on his thoughts once again.

But for this time... It was different.

It was something that not even the old man could be able to decipher.

"Mr. Jansen, I afraid that I can't teach you the magic. You are better in physical battles than the magical battles." He remarked by sighing.

A sign of the weariness on his face being drawn as a sign of disappointment.

But, Chris was not giving up his hope to have the magical prowess.

At his space of mind. He kept traveling as he hummed on himself,

'I know my own unique condition that they named it as the magical defect.

In my past life, I had researched that, and it turned out that...'

He took a glance over a runic circle that was drawn in his foot. Thus, he reacted.

'Yes, this is...'

He embraced the runic circle that led the crystal ball to have a scarlet color. Thus, it shocked the old man, which led him to say,

"This is an extraordinary talent. It's only one out of ten billion people who will have it..."

The scarlet-colored fire had engulfed Chris's body. And a runic word had been engraved at his forehead as soon as the scarlet-colored fire vanished.

"How is it, Professor Kijorn?" He asked the old man. Thus, he replied to Chris with a delightful tone.

"You have the Rune Magic!"
