After expressing his condolences to the family of the late Regional Chief Timothy, the General ended his visit.

Daemond looked out the window of his chariot as he contemplated what had just happened.

Agripa Olympius nominated his nephew as Timothy's successor. Ponti Scato was in favor, as was reportedly the Savo Head Chief, Diggory.

Daemond couldn't stop thinking, were all the Regional Heads conspiring and supporting the rebellion? Are there no allies in the North? How wide is this treasonous network spreading? Were there other people involved?

King Gustav wanted him to solve this problem as soon as possible. But Daemond felt that what was happening in the North was more serious than just a few Regional Chiefs conspiring to defect because they objected to paying taxes and wanted power over a piece of land. He could have killed them all to finish the job. But he wanted to be sure.
