72 Let Him Be My Disciple Instead!

Miguel and Lia continued their banter despite the presence of the Elders and the Shamans...

"Where are you taking me? You insane lady!" Miguel cast a furrowed brow as he slapped the hand of the Saman.

Lia felt so bitter, as she thought: Why is Argus acting this way? She felt so wronged, after some night of crying and guilt, and now that she mustered up the courage to show her true feelings to Argus, he is now shooing her away?

Many men in their Tribe have shown great favor to her, she was never humiliated like this before. Her nose is a bit sour, she can't help but curse in her heart...

"To the Shamans, you ignoramus!" And her natural haughty attitude was brought out.

"This insane lady..." Miguel helplessly shrugged. Still contemplating who this lady was.

"What did you call me?" And when the word was uttered, the Saman perked her prickly ears. It did not sit right with her. As if asking for a beating, she asked.

"Insane..." Miguel, flatly retold what he said.

And when the Saman heard this she could not help but yell "You dare call me insane?!!!" Pausing for a while to clear her throat she then added, brimming with fierceness and bitter tone...."I'll have my father pull out that foul tongue of yours!"

Miguel felt that she is too unbearable and uttered another sentence that pierced the Saman's heart. "You are so annoying... I don't even know who you are!"

"You..." The Saman stopped her words. She felt truly bitter now. What did she do towards Argus that he is treating him so cold right now?

And another thought flashed to her mind... "Maybe he is mad about me organizing this event..." And a sigh escaped at her mouth.

But at this moment, when the two looked around their surroundings, they wondered where did everyone go to? Only to find out that the tribesmen who are surrounding them earlier have all bowed and buried their faces to the ground.

As they both turned around to look, they found the tall figures of the Dayang including the Elders and the Shamans led by the Babaylan are here.

To Miguel having jumbled emotions and memories, he found it difficult to grasp his current situation. He is still busy sorting out every information his mind is throwing at the moment. His mind was swirling every second.

Just now he found an opportunity to vent all of his frustration with a fight but since he did not truly get himself to let loose, his mind was still chaotic.

He had some understanding but some of it is still missing.

"That's enough!" Loudly yelled by Dayang Haya as she alighted from her servant's broad back and a woven wooden matt was placed beneath her feet.

Wearing the same clothing as the Saman, Dayang Haya looked simple tonight yet the majestic aura of Dayang is slightly displayed, along with the added mystery as the white veil covered her mouth.

"Let go of his hand! You insolent brat! Your father has really spoiled you huh! Very good, you even broke our sacred tradition to never let a woman of noble birth sully her feet with this dirty ground. Have you truly left me with no shame?!" Dayang Haya is furious! She let out a series of loud exclaims under one breath.

Everyone that is present felt the majestic aura of their Dayang suffocating them as if they are being drowned.

"Baylan... (Short term for Babaylan) Surely you have something to say to me, right? What is this situation? How come an Alipin has resurrected from being dead?! Look at him carefully, bring him to the shrine and examine him. Perhaps some wicked spirit must have possessed that Alipin's body.

When Miguel heard this, he felt his scalp numbing... Isn't what she describes is tantamount to what being he currently is? Technically speaking, he can be considered a wicked spirit.

Miguel tried to be calm but a visible hint of worry flashed at the corners of his eyes.

The Babaylan on the other hand felt a turbulent wave of doubt, he felt an indescribable feeling just a while ago and when they went there to actually witness it with their own two eyes, she still felt shocked.

No mortal has been ever spared by the God of Death Sidapa. Unlike other gods, Sidapa would carefully execute his job and collect the souls of everyone. Since it was the only thing he could do on that void.

Elder Shana also busily scanned Miguel from head to toe, he recalled their last meeting at that forest-mountain and felt that the aura of Miguel felt quite familiar yet unfamiliar at the same time. She just repeatedly observed Miguel just like the Babaylan.

...

Placed inside of the shrine, Miguel scanned the whole place.

It had the same style as the previous huts that he could remember, only this time the place is eerily quiet. You could hear the rattling of the small animals outside and the buzz of the insects.

Since it was evening, the light of the moon and the stars that passed through the gap of the huge window entered the room. Also, it was a good thing that many torches were lit inside. That's also why Miguel could clearly see the room.

Unlike other shrines, the shrine in Lumin's tribe is only used as a living quarter and storage of sacred texts. When Shamans do their solemn prayers they go outside.

Miguel had been sitting inside the shrine for how many hours now, he listlessly listened to the chants coming from the Shamans. At this point, his ears had been numb and even if you let him try to re-chant the words of the Shamans, perhaps he may be able to do it now.

In front of him, The Dayang and the Saman is present, at his side, the Shaman was busily applying some liquid at his skin. His arms and legs had been dyed in green now, he looked like he had been soaked from the green swamp. But Miguel did not mind, he silently endured it.

"It is done... Nothing that I found was abnormal." The Babaylan declared and at her signal, the Saman also heaved a sigh.

"Argus... are you alright now...Can you remember me now?" Lia had been waiting anxiously for a while now, and so once the Babaylan said it was fine she immediately plunges towards Miguel.

Yet Miguel just like last time brushed her off which made Lia despondent.

"I also have something to say Dayang... I hope you won't mind this humble mine's request." Suddenly the Babaylan interjected.

While everyone awaited the Babaylan to speak, a voice abruptly rang out!

"No! Let him be my disciple instead!"
