Andorid Saga[4]

"Father!" Trunks came running to his father, concerned for him.

"Oh, Vegeta, it's unfair going out to fight the strong guys all alone. At least call me," Goku said with a bit of disapproval in his look but a playful voice.

"Shut up, idiot. It's your fault for taking time with those two weaklings," Vegeta replied, dusting himself off in preparation to go back and fight.

"Wait! you can't go back to fight them alone! I'll go too!" Trunks said, preparing his sword.

"Stop. I'm not losing this fight, I just got distracted. And right now you'll only get in my way," Vegeta stated, already walking away when both 17 and a slightly disheveled 18 approached them.

"Son Goku-san, we were expecting you here," 17 said, smiling confidently. Although he had somewhat free will, he was still programmed to take down Son Goku, and he was tasked with a simple mission this time.

"Fight against me? Let's go. The other two gave me a bit of a warm-up," Goku said, rolling his shoulders and preparing to battle. Trunks looked a bit distressed, he was sensing that both Goku and his father were stronger than ever, yet the Androids had left a scar in the boy's mind.

"Stop right there, Kakarrot. I was the one here first, the time is mine," Vegeta said, walking directly towards the two.

"W-Wait, Vegeta, it's not fair! They said it was me! Me! You can't cut the line right now!" Goku said with a despairing voice. They started bickering to determine who had the right to fight. Meanwhile, 17 and 18 were confused, but this commotion worked in their favor.

Dr. Gero had given the order to stop the warriors and buy some time for him if they had the chance to kill them then they should do that too, and that's exactly what they were doing. All of this was nothing more than a pretense.

"Don't be so jealous, cute Saiyan. I can play with you later~ Chu," 18 said, blowing Vegeta a kiss with a confident tone. Although Vegeta didn't react, someone else did.

"Vegeta!! Y-You're out again, taking any girl that you find! What about this beautiful and smart wife that you already have!?" Bulma was almost jumping in her spot. She and Tights were hiding close to their airplane, while the kids were inside it.

"Hi~~ Vegie," Tights waved at him with a smile.

"You weren't supposed to be here, Bulma, and Tights too. And I hope you let the kids in the house," he looked at her with a stern look, which sent shivers down her spine.

"Ah~, see? You made him angry, Sis," Tights said while making some notes in her journal.

"You gave the idea too, Sis!"

"Tch, what a pointless argument. Where is Dr. Gero? I hope you guys killed him off," Vegeta said, looking at them and noticing their troubled expressions.

That's bad. With everyone here, he will not come back to the lab. He may even have another one and be hiding there already. Or he may as well be inside the lab through a hidden passage.

"Kakarrot, playtime is over. Take some guys and go inside the lab. Don't destroy everything, but if Gero is there, kill him and either destroy his computer or turn it off. Bulma and Capsule can take a look at it later," Vegeta said in a more serious voice, realizing that these two were stronger than what he remembered. Gero may still have some trump cards left.

"What about you?" Goku asked, still unconcerned.

"I'll fight these two for a bit," smirking, Vegeta walked towards them. Both 17 and 18 looked at him and smiled, preparing to battle again.

"Since you lost to me, after this, we can go out for a bit. I'll buy a new jacket for you," Vegeta said confidently. Although he couldn't exactly tell their power, he knew that he was more powerful than both of them.

"I haven't lost yet. But fine, a date then," 18 played along for a bit but turned seriously quickly. She understood how strong Vegeta was, but she might have a shot if she fought alongside her brother.

"Things will not be the same now. Since I'm the strongest android here," 17 readied his stance. Now was a great opportunity to test his full power.

"Let's see how strong they are," Bulma turned her scouter to both androids and was again unable to get a reading. But when she turned to Vegeta, the numbers shot up.

"Eh? A whole 7 billion!? Incredible... My husband is pretty strong, huh?"

17 and 18 kicked the ground and charged straight at Vegeta, taking the fight a bit farther from that place. Their mission was already accomplished, or at least they thought it was, in any case now they wanted to have some fun themselves.

While they started to fight, Goku and the others went to Dr. Gero's lab to see if he was there and put an end to this. They stood in front of a heavily reinforced iron door. "Should we enter like that? What if there's a trap?" Krillin said, taking cautious steps inside. Who knows what could be there?

"Right, it's better to be careful," Gohan was beside him, cautiously walking inside as well.

What greeted them was a space big enough to fit dozens of computers and coffin-like machines. These machines and the computer were making noise from time to time. The technology here was at a level they didn't understand.

"Okay, where's Dr. Gero? There's no one here," Goku scratched his head, walking around a bit to see if there was anything there.

"Even if there's no one, we should gather some information, just in case he appears again to try and do something," Piccolo said. However, he didn't know where to start. Searching around the place, they only found schematics and data on the computer.

They search for a time until Krillin found a hatch and opened it, revealing a set of stairs leading down. "Nice work, Krillin," Goku said, poking his head inside to see where it led.

"The place is all dark. There's no way to see from here," he said before pulling his head back.

They looked at each other, nodding their heads in understanding.

They formed a circle, prepared their hands, and, in unison, they shouted, "Rock, paper, scissors!" and threw their hands, determining the order.

"Shittttt!!!!!"

"Yaaahhhooooo!"

The one who lost was Tenshinhan. His luck was bad today, just like that. "It's not because you have three eyes and can probably see better than us, Tien,"

Krillin tried to comfort his friend, only making things worse.

Tien went first, followed by the rest of the group. Upon landing, they looked around to see a place that wasn't totally dark. There was less equipment here, but there were at least two large coffins connected to a huge computer. The sound coming from the computer indicated that it was still functional, although most of the data seemed to be lost.

"W-What is this place?" Krillin asked in a fearful voice. No one was going to answer, and the place was filled with sickening silence.

That's when they heard slow footsteps coming from behind them. Everyone gulped hard and turned around to see a woman standing there.

She had a tall and curvaceous frame, wearing a high-neck mini-dress with a blue and red chess pattern. On top of it, she wore a lab coat with the red ribbon symbol. She pushed aside her long, wild auburn hair and looked at them with her blue eyes behind the glasses.

There was a complicated expression on her face as if she didn't want to be there but felt compelled to. She looked at each of them and stopped at Goku when she saw him approach.

"Sorry, we are looking for an old person. He has a black hat with the same symbol as yours. Did you see him?" Goku innocently asked.

Everyone almost comically dropped to the ground. She was one of them, and yet he was asking her to hand over their boss.

"Unfortunately, he's not here. Sorry. He told me to hold you here as much as I can, so I'll do it. Sorry," she said in a somewhat meek voice.

"Heh, so you're strong, then? What about having a little spar?" Goku smiled and asked, unaware of the place they were in or just confident in his abilities.

Without saying anything, she took off her glasses and powered up. They could feel her ki, which resembled their own ki, but thousands of times more potent. Goku looked at her and smiled—a genuine smile as if he had found someone to play with.

The entire lab shook, and all of the warriors were on high alert. They had never felt such pressure before.

"T-This power is crazy! What the hell is that guy doing down here?!" Tien said, sweat dripping from his face. This was on a completely different level, far beyond his capabilities.

"Seriously, this is at least three times what Vegeta was pulling before... We really shouldn't have gone inside without thinking," Krillin said, ready to flee.

Only Goku remained relaxed, still wearing a smile.
