5 Chapter 3: Mystical Stone

I was then flung to the side like a broken toy. I felt so hurt.

No one had ever treated me so badly since I last insulted my professor by accident. He had announced to the class that he had been practicing impressions for an upcoming party, and I praised that he still had the youth in him, since only young people do these useless things.

"Don't do that so suddenly," I cried. "What if you break something?"

Rulia just stared at me with a pale face. I realised that she might be happier if the jewel I was in broke. She had boxed me up and tied three ribbons around the box, but of course, I could still speak with ease. Because I am now a rock, and rocks don't need mouths to talk. I think.

"Why are you so hysterical?"

"You try being calm when some evil stone starts speaking around your neck!"

Ah, I realised. That is indeed a sudden and unexpected conclusion that she would have reached. What if I suddenly straggled her after speaking? It is no wonder she got so scared.

"Well I am sorry. Let us introduce ourselves to each other formally?"

"Why in the world do you think I'd introduce myself to a stone?" Her hiss is just so villain-like that I almost cheered.

"You can call me Ernaline, and from today onwards, I can guide you to become the best Cleridalle ever!"

"Why do you know my name? What the heck are you!"

"I am a mystical stone that has embraced the spirit of an enchanted, world-ravishing, one in a million, Oracle."

"Bullshit."

She huffed. The battle of wills has started, I've got 14 days to make her fall in love with me.

Would you say I am confident? Hell, no. But what can I do? My spirit is stuck in her amethyst. It was not a joke that my EQ has fallen to the pits. After all, I did not talk to anyone for years.

Considering her destiny though, I figured there would be plenty of opportunities to gain her trust.
