Vanessa's POV (Point of View):

...

"Wow" was all I could muster out of my mouth. I watched the forest around me from left to right, up and down. My eyes were beaming in astonishment and admiration. Yes, I come through this very same forest once in awhile, but who knew that it looked completely different under the daylight compared to the night's dimmer glow?

In front of my visual perspectives I could now see the kaleidoscopic creations Mother Nature crafted so precisely than ever before. The trees differed to several kinds, from thin to thick, short to tall, young to old, small to huge leaves, light to dark barks. Some clustered in groups, like the columns of Nara trees before me. While some were randomly mixed in with other species of trees as well.

Even the grasses varied, well I already knew they did. But back then, I didn't heed them much attention. But now that I can see even the tiniest of details clearly, I realized how beautiful the grasses-I-usually-ignored were.

Like the trees, some were short, some were tall. There were light to darker green grasses, narrow to wide. Others encompassed near the trees, bushes, and large flower shrubs while mosses and vines clung to their trunks and branches. And some spread across the healthy vast soil to decorate the ground with its greenish beauty.

I continue to allow my legs to maunder about aimlessly. The scrunching of the dead leaves and twigs as my feet step on them created the noise around the area along with the forest animals with their own distinctive sounds as they mind their own businesses and activities.

In the fullness of time, I heard a familiar sound of the gushing of waters. If I'm not mistaken, there's a waterfall nearby. But not the usual strong and vigorous one that stampedes due to the wide and deep rivers where it based on. No, it was a rather steep yet narrow, a small type of waterfall, where its waters were sourced by an elegant stream. I visit that place sometimes when I feel the urge for adventure. After all, the flowers were just undeniably gorgeous there at night.

But I wonder how it looks like there during the day? Now I'm curious. I think I know where to go now.

I turned my head towards the direction of where I heard it. But when I did, I was slightly taken aback of what I saw. There was a glowing trail that would lead me to the very place I'm currently planning to go to. It was caused by no other than the sun's majestic radiance of luminosity, filtered and carved by trees' foliage to form into this very trail.

It was like the universe encouraged me and was eager to help with my decision because it seemed like a really good idea. Not that I mind though, I feel like I'm in a fairytale right now with all of this mystical atmosphere.

I followed the trail excitedly, a hint of curiosity lingering in my mind yet a dash of joy in my heart, even if I already knew where this will lead to. But who knows? Maybe something big will happen. Somewhere in my guts told me so.

At long last I reached my destination. I brushed aside some clusters of thick hanging vines and purged through the thick bushes, as if they were the barriers to protect a hidden treasure from wicked thieves. And then...

When I finally saw the scenery, my figurative statement was right...

It was indeed a hidden treasure...

A view to die for.
