Venomous Serpent

Lord Torren quickly took Kahlan back to Darca on his horse abandoning the mission they had embarked on. He was worried and didn't want anything bad to happen to her. He equally knew Diana would cry herself to sleep every night if something bad ever happens to Kahlan. As he got into Darca, he noticed Darca was not a quiet as it was when he left earlier. It was as if the infected people had all recovered or were still in the process of recovering. As he rode through his kingdom, his people cheered in honor of him. Lord Torren went straight to his castle to meet a worried Mal sitting on the stairs to the palace entrance. As soon as Mal saw lord Torren, he rushed towards his horse. "My lord where have you been? I've been really worried sick about you and so is Diana."

"Where's she? Diana?"
