As soon as I saw Torren, I hurriedly hugged him. "I was scared and confused. I didn't know what to do." I said and I tightened my embrace on Torren.

"I'm so sorry I was a bit late. I promised never to let you get hurt but I couldn't keep that promise." He said as he cupped my cheeks with his hands.

"Don't say that my love. You were right in time and I didn't even get hurt."

"Lord Torren?" Kahlan interrupted. "I hate to interrupt this lovely romantic time but you are needed in the court." She lied just to put us apart but lord Torren took me arms and we walked side by side to the court.

Kahlan was deeply agitated by Torren's victory that she kept roving the battleground completely drawn out of her environment. She didn't want to run to Liah in a hurry.

"You seem bothered Kahlan. Everything okay?" Mal interrupted Kahlan's thoughts as he stepped into the garden.
