Vampires and Demons

Liam strolled thought the busy campus as his black eyes scanned the busy school environment.

Liam was tall, slim and had short black hair.

Starting this year, the excitement of being a sophomore had died down, he could still remember how much he wanted to be in school, but now?

Liam headed to the cafeteria, everywhere was full and piled up with people, leaving no space for him to sit.

After looking around for a bit, he spotted a free seat in a table with four chairs around it. Liam bought his food and sat down on the vacant seat not minding the discussion going on between the 3 girls sitting there.

Yes, they were beautiful but he was just in this mood of just minding his business.

"It's Noah, he killed again" One of the girls said just as Liam was about to sit down.

Liam almost tripped hearing the words.

What the hell did she mean by 'killed again?'

Liam scanned the girls, just to make sure they were really girls, then he realized that they were really beautiful.

Each and everyone of them had this striking face you will never forget.

But, he wasn't in the mood to look at beauties, and as for what one of them just said now?

Maybe she was telling a movie.

Staring at the food, his stomach grumbled, he couldn't help but sit down and start eating.

"Yeah, I heard, he has been running wild for the past 2 days, he is really getting uncontrollable" One of the girls with a shiny pink band on her hair replied nodding.

"Someone is eating here, hope you hypnotized him Sophia" The one who seemed to just be listening in to their conversation said staring at Liam.

Liam paused his moving mouth and stared at the 3 girls.

Hypnotize who?

"Yeah, I did immediately he came in" The girl with band on her hair replied.

Yeah you did?

Liam was confused, he didn't know and couldn't tell what they were talking about.

He was the only person that came in here just now to satisfy his grumbling stomach and leave, he couldn't tell if they were talking about him.

"He has been uncontrollable at night, and it's still 3 days before the full moon, he has killed 3 people since the last 2 days and it's getting worse, he can't control himself at night" One of them said.

3 people?

Liam's hands froze in mid air but he quickly continued to eat, because according to them they thought he was hypnotized and can't hear them.

"I told you that something was going wrong somewhere, the air these days has this smell of impending danger, suddenly a guy has werewolf powers, no bite marks, no claw marks, no nothing and just wakes up from his bed one morning and he is a werewolf?" The girl with a pink band said again.

"And not just any werewolf, as a level one newbie, he is a lot faster than any of us when we were level one"

"Leny the band, it's glowing"

"Shit, his heart beat is rising again, we have to stop him"

"Oh my God it's broad daylight!"

"Go go go, we have to be quick"

The girls suddenly rose up from their seats in a rush and dashed out from the cafeteria.

Liam sat there astonished, he was deeply astonished because from the reactions of the girls, he had a feeling that all they were talking was real.

Liam sat there for a moment contemplating on what just happened but in the end he felt that the girls being lunatics was a more logical end to this whole rubbish.

Werewolves? That only happened in movies.

Liam immediately savored his food and gulped in satisfaction.

Liam headed back to his dorm, he actually had lectures he was supposed to attend right now, but he didn't care he just wanted to rest for today and play some cards with his roommates.

On his way to the dorm his mind couldn't help but wander to what those girls were talking about.

Were they mentally ill or they just loved supernatural stories so much that they acted it in their daily lives?

The thought lingered in his mind until he got to his room, 404 boldly written on the door.

He gently unlocked the door, the faint breeze from the room carried sounds of laughter, a smile hung on Liam's face as he heard the familiar voices of his roommates, they were already playing cards.

"Liam is here" Max the only black guy in their midst said as he saw Liam enter the room.

But just as Liam was about to reply a loud roar sounded throughout the corridors of the dorm area.

What the hell

Liam froze in horror as he stared outside of the room whose door was still open.

But he saw nothing.

Liam's heart was beating so fast as he could swear that the roar he heard now felt like it was by his side.

"What's wrong Liam" Max asked seeing Liam's rigid expression.

Liam turned to his roommate, and saw them looking at him strangely.

"What the hell do you mean what is wrong, didn't you hear that sound just now?" Liam asked staring at Max in confusion, his heart still beating rapidly.

Max stared at the other two and they could see the confusion in each other's eyes.

"What sound?" Three of them asked in unison.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhh, heeeelp!" Just then a scream suddenly filled the hall way again, this time it sounded like someone was shouting.

His three roommates got up, from their expression Liam could tell that they heard the sound this time.

The four of them immediately rushed out of their room as they traced the sound to its source, on getting to the room, it was shut tight.

"Isn't this Daniel's room?" Max asked staring at the number written on the door, it wrote 355.

Liam and his roommates could hear chaotic sounds inside the room.

Without waiting to hear more, Liam leaned backwards and kicked the door in a bid to open it, but it refused to bulge

Seeing the dire situation and a need to know what was happening inside, his roommates helped out, with them moving backwards and running towards the door with a kick.

Boooom!... the door was kicked open.

Liam rushed inside the room with his roommates closely behind.

And then silence

Stunned Horror Silence!!!

The sight was difficult to behold.

"Is...is ...t..that....Daniel?" One of his roommates asked pointing shakily at a disfugured corpse on the ground of the room.

The room was in severe damages, the windows were broken and broken tables and chairs were everywhere.

But the most scattered stuff seemed to be the corpse lying motionlessly on the ground.

Liam stared in horror at the scene unable to process what he had just seen.

Just then 3 figures dashed into the room with inhuman speed.

Liam recognized them, they were the girls he met at the cafeteria.

"Bloody Hell, we were late" The girl with the pink band on her hair said as she saw the scene.

This has to be a dream
