39 Chapter 39: I Missed You

Gisella was attending to Malota when she received a note from Ryre.

It had come in the form of a giddy Roseia, with her smile stretched wide across her face, “Your prince is summoning you, my lady.” She had accompanied the letter with a dramatic bow of her body.

Gisella returned the gesture with a smack to her arm.

The letter, much like other letters received from him, had told her to meet him in the garden later that night. A familiar feeling fluttered in her chest and she found herself welcoming the nostalgia of the sentiment.

“Prince Ryre?” Malota questioned with a raised eyebrow.

“The esteemed prince has become quite fond of our dear Gisella,” Roseia said with a suggestive wiggle of her eyebrow, “They are… very close friends.” She sang to the two of them.

“Oh, stop it!” Gisella felt like her cheeks were aflame and she couldn’t hold the smile from breaking out across her face.
