14 Chapter 14: A Second Kind Prince?

Gisella watched from beneath her hair as Galeran walked about the kitchens and retrieved various items. It looks as though he is in the process of making himself something.

Not wanting to disturb him or be in the presence of the man who had made her feel so uneasy before, Gisella got up, washed her plate, and then made to put it away. But the shelf was too high for her, and she struggled on her hurt foot.

Her heart lurched when a large hand came into her view and grabbed the plate from her hand. Gisella only stared silently as Galeran took the plate from her hand and placed it onto the shelf in front of her.

“Thank you,” was all she could do to say before trying to wobble her way out of the kitchens, but Galeran’s voice stopped her from leaving just before she crossed the threshold of the door.
