4 Chapter 3

13 years later.....

Maria~"oh my god!!!"

Zero~"what's up Maria?"

Maria~"uncle I have a serious craving for some thing and my throat is parched."

Zero~"w..what are you saying?! Are you serious?"

Maria~"yes I am, I am so hungry for....."

Maria~"Turkey twizzlers"

Zero wipes his swear as he finds out she was just hungry for normal food. He thought that she was a vampire but I guess he was wrong. Soon Eden enters the room, he has the same aura of Kaname when he was younger but he has the same smile as Yuki and Maria looks exactly like Yuki and has the same aura as her. It makes Zero feel happy that Yuki still lives on in both of her children.

Eden~"anyways uncle our birthday is coming up soon. Are we gonna do anything special?"

Maria~"well actually I was wondering if I could suggest something for our birthday?"

Zero~" what is it Maria?"

Maria~"well I was wondering if me and Eden could go outside today as an early present to the town"

Zero~"no definitely not"

Eden~"why are you so quick to refuse us uncle? Unless there is something you are not telling us?"

Cold sweat drips down Zero's head as Eden said this sentence. Suddenly the aura around him changed into more like his...father's.

Zero~"of course there is nothing I am hiding. Both of you can go to town right now but I suggest coming before dark as dark creatures lurk during this time."

Maria~"oh yeah I forgot the vampires werewolves and all of the mystical creatures will be out at night"

Eden~"Maria stop acting like a child uncle Zero is right we should get back before dark. We haven't been out that much so we don't know what is out there."

Maria~"well I wonder why we haven't been outside..."

Maria give a a glare at Zero which sends shivers down his spine like when Yuki used to glare at him for being late for his duty as a guardian.

Zero~"stop being silly and go now before it gets too late"

Maria~"ok well we will see you soon uncle"

As they waved goodbye, Zero's heart sunk knowing that tomorrow he will have to go back to the place which brought so many memories back. He had a bad feeling something was about to happen but he ignored it as he went to pack his and the children's things for tomorrow.

With Maria and Eden...

Maria~"wow I love this town I want to visit here all the time but uncle Zero never let's us go outside."

Eden~"he is probably worried about us. He doesn't want to lose us. We are his only family.

Maria~"whenever it is our birthday he always goes to bed early but since our rooms are next to his we can hear him slightly crying. He sounds so sad whenever it is our birthday."

Eden~"I don't think he will ever tell us why though. I mean come on he doesn't tell us anything. Like when we were 6 and we got hurt playing with our scooters he got in such a big frenzy about it."

Maria~"well I don't remember that but I do remember that woman."

Eden~"what woman?"

Maria~"don't you remember? She told us she will be protecting both of us."

Eden~"ugh thinking about it is making my head hurt"

Maria~"come on brother let's sit down somewhere to rest"

Eden~"ok"

As they at down and talked for a while they began losing track of time and realised the sun was nearly down and the night sky was coming.

Maria~"oh no it is getting late, we should go home"

Eden~"yeah we should let's go now Maria"

But as the darkness crosses over the night it became harder and harder to see almost like the night covered over crime in the dark.

Eden and Maria quickly try to make their way home but they are suddenly stopped by a someone....
