6 Let's go for a ride

Hades pov

I can't believe I just said that, I was supposed to be thinking about it in the inside, fuck! "Mmmmh" Cole clears his throat loudly trying to break the tension in the room, for once I'm thankful for his stupid presence. I turn to look at him but something else catches my attention, the maid that is always creepily smiling at me runs from the room in the direction if the servants quarters, I know she fancys me but I really do not care.

"So Julliet do you know how to ride?" I ask trying to sound casual but fail miserably,"No, why?" "Because tomorrow we are going for a ride." She looks at me happiness sparkling in her eyes, it is clear she is so excited without even asking. "Can I come?"Cole asks "No." I say leaving no room for discussion."Meet me at the stables tomorrow by six o'clock." I walk out of the dining room.

"I am here." Jules says as she walks in the stables at six am sharp. "So which one do you want?" I ask pointing at two mares,"the black one." "I guess we'll take the black one." "We'll?" "Yes because you don't know how to ride we'll ride on the same horse," I say trying not to sound excited but fail miserably. She looks at me quizzically but nods her head after a while, 'real smooth Hades.' My subconcious mocks me.

I hold her by the waist and put her on top of the horse, I feel her shiver when I touch her, I can't help the smirk that forms on my lips, she is affected by my touch, that for some reason makes me happy.

I jump on the back and hold her by her waist, for the first time I am at peace, I love being next to her, holding her like my own, I would kill any man who tried to touch even a strand on her head.

I don't know what got me so attached to her, was it the fire in her eyes or the way she never falls at my feet like other women, or the way she gets excited over small things and her really cute giggle? I really don't know.

Jules pov

I was really happy when he held me by my waist,an involuntary shiver run through me when he touched me, I couldn't help it.It felt really great being this close to him and he smelt so good I could eat him alive, wait wait I totally didn't mean that or maybe I did I really didn't know anymore.

"So where are we going?" "The river for a skinny dip, that is if you are up for it." He says with a smirk on his face. "Ahaaa,and we are going to race so that I whip your fat ass," I say turning on my competitive side, "Hey my ass is just great." He says as I laugh, like real guffaws, I think I even snorted. He laughs along with me until I almost fall of and ruin the moment, I just roll my eyes at my clumsiness.

When we reach the river, I take off my clothes behind a tree and I am left with a bra and my panties, Hades already got in so I jump in after him. When I enter, I get this feeling that someone was watching us but I shake it of. "So still up for that race or have you chickened out already?" That is when I remember that he is a vampire and he has super strength and speed, I swear that sometimes I forget he is not a normal person but I still don't want him to think I am weak so I accept. "Go!" We scream together as we start swimming, of course he wins but I come in close to him surprisingly.

"That was fun," he says coming closer to me than usual, he looks at my eyes then he tucks my hair behind my ear then looks at my lips, he leans in and goes for the mouth but before he could kiss me, we hear a muffled cry close by, "help, help me." I quickly get out of the water and run to where the sound came from but before I get there I trip on a tree root and hurt my ankle, in one second Hades is holding my ankle examining it,"Are you ok?" He asks concern clear in his eyes,"the cry Hades, go and find out who it is," I quickly say. A few minutes later Hades comes back holding a small boy by his neck,"This boy here was watching us the whole time." He says disgust clear on his face, I examine the boy and he is as thin as my aunt's old rake, you can count all his ribs and he was so dirty and smelly that I could smell him all the way from here. I stand up cautiously even though my ankle hurts and go to the boy," I am sorry ma'am I was waaa..ss ju..ssttt looking for food and was caught by a black jack and thought it was a snake until my loor..dd..d came and saved me." He stammers and I feel so sorry for him, he's just a little boy, I offer him a smile and hug him before talking to him,"it's okay you're fine, let's go to our place so that we give you some food." I say having pity on him,"Are you alone?" "Yes ma'am my mother died a few days ago and I don't have any other family." He says and I notice he's eyes become sad when he mentions his mother."It's okay, you can call me Jules." "Okay Jules." He says. "Why are you being so kind to him he made you fall and he is clearly a thief?" Hades speaks for the first time,I give him the 'not right now' face and he actually shuts up, which is surprising.

Hades calls for a car to come pick us up, meanwhile he looks at my ankle and claims it sprained, which explains why it hurts like a bitch. He does first aid when the car comes and wraps it in a bandage.

When we get home, first thing we go to the kitchen and I give the boy some food, he looks at me as if I have just given him ten pounds of gold and starts devouring it, Hades snorts from the corner and has an amused look.

"Who is he?" Mary asks as she enters the kitchen, I tell her all that happened and she smiles but it doesn't reach her eyes,"awww,cute." She says while looking at the boy but I notice the disgust in her eyes.

We go to the study with Hades, "What are we going to do with the boy Hades." " kill him what else." He says seriously, I have a shocked expression and before I can talk, Hades beats me to it,"Oh God it never gets old you should have seen your face." "Not funny Hades but seriously what are we going to do with the boy?" "He is going to help here with the farm work and also go to school." And before I can stop myself I find myself hugging him, first he has a shocked expression then he responds to the hug. "Ok let's go tell him." He says after a while.

When we enter the kitchen we find Mary sneering at the boy while giving him a look that could kill,"Why are you licking the plate?" "Mary he's just a kid, don't be so fierce." I say when she notices us. She gets out of the kitchen after seeing the look Hades is giving her.

After telling the boy our plans for him, he hugs me and I pat his head while laughing and he gives Hades a courteous nod before he walks out of the kitchen.

I look at Hades and he has a smile on his face as he is looking at me, he walks towards me and pecks me on the lips, "you are too kind for your own good." He says and walks out leaving me there with a stunned expression, what.just.happened?!
