A Jealousy Angry Lord

20th Century

The lord kept pacing back and forth furiously in his room. He took the nearest chair and threw it across the room, shattering to pieces. He stopped for a moment and his mind replayed all that he had heard again. "She carries that bastard's seed." He shouted angrily.

'Impossible' the word echoed in his head and shook his head in denial, "it can't be, she's a council head." He stopped pacing and sat on his bed to think clearly.

"It has to be of magic!" He said to the empty room, "that is the only explanation to that abominable pregnancy." His fist pressed on the soft bed.

'I shouldn't have listened to my stubborn heart and left. If I had waited till the end, I would have known everything.' He clenched his fist, scolding himself inwardly.

"What in the creator's name does she sees in him? Why tarnish the image of the kingdom for a worthless half breed demon. Isn't my care and affection enough for her." He questioned himself, his voice cracked at the end.

'She scorned your love!' A voice in his head mocked him, fuelling the anger that was coursing through his veins.

HIs insides were boiling, "I have been by her side since the very beginning and what did I get? An unholy betrayal. She has offended me too often but this unholy betrayal shall not be forgiven." The lord laughed like a mad man.

"And that fatherless Demon stole the woman after my heart which he will pay for it at the right time." His claws had scratched the bed without his knowledge.

The angry lord had refused to listen to the guard who had called for him to make an appearance at the hearing hall where the Queen met her people. He waited till the guard had left his door before he came out but he didn't attend the meeting because he had other plans. Although the lord wasn't present at the meeting, it went on without him and no one noticed his absence except Samurai because he was the one who sent the guard after him.

"At least your people believed you. One less problem deal with." The king announced when they all retired to the Queen's chamber.

"You must leave as soon as possible to the human realm. I will make provision for your departure. I do not trust the witcher alone in this realm, it's best you go with him." Samurai said, ignoring the frown appearing on the King's face.

"But why not have one of us accompanied her to the human realm maybe I for instance?" The king asked like the jealousy lover he is.

"No!" Samurai said with a straight face, staring back at the king who was frowning at the disdainful response of the Guardian.

"Why? I think I will agree with the king although our motives are different, I believed she needs someone to protect her!" Mira sent a soft smile to the dragon lord.

"You would be surprised how powerful Lilian has become, she doesn't need anyone except the witcher. He will be able to prepare her towards birth and give her the right medications." Samurai retorted.

"You look completely worn out! We will leave you to rest." Samurai said immediately changing the subject before the stubborn king could retort back.

The dragon lord had noticed how the Queen had tried to keep her eyes opened when he mentioned her name. The vampire was completely worn out which was quite unusual. Vampires don't sleep but it seems this one does. He worried about the Queen because Demons are powerful beings and it seems this Vampire doesn't possess the strength to bring forth to one. Witches were the creatures known to give birth to a Demon or a half breeds. He signalled for all of them to leave when he saw that she had finally closed her eyes.

Immediately the Queen's door was shut, "we need to talk. We will meet at Mira's coven." He said to the two council heads.

Before any of the men could reach her coven, Mira was the first to arrive. She had the ability to teleport any part of their world and also to the human realm without going through the veil. Samurai flew to the coven in his natural form. Witches were terrified of fire breathers as they call them since fire was their weakness.

Those beneath that saw the Guardian lord flying through the clouds run to seek shelter in their covens. The guardian lord and his sister were the biggest of their kind since they had royal blood flowing through their veins but Samurai was much bigger. Although they are not direct descendant of the previous lord, they did have blood ties with him, for the guardian was their Uncle.

Samurai looked down at the witches who were screaming and running away from his sight. Most creatures of their realm were terrified of dragons due to this Guardians mostly refrain from turning into their natural form unless they are in their region to avoid commotion such as this. Brainless witches as if their coven could protect them from his hot breathe, he thought. Its been decades since he had breathe out fire and his throat had begun to itch. Looking down as he flaps his wing, he hadn't notice the Lycan king behind him. 'It won't be bad to have some fun with these witches,' he smiled to himself.

Nikolai knew perfectly that the Guardian lord was up to no good as he saw his dragon flying in circles, scaring off the frightened witches into their homes. Although he was behind him he could see the smoke from the dragon's nose. 'He wouldn't dare burn their covens, would he?' the king asked himself. He knew the lord hardly turns himself out of courtesy because the size of his dragon was terrifying even to his own kind except his sister. 'SAMURAI!' The king called out through the mind link but the mischievous dragon was lost in his owns thoughts.

"Samurai!" this time he used his mouth which got the beast to stop flying in circles as he turns to watch the king from behind. His yellow eyes complimenting the golden scales on his skin.

"Don't trouble them, Mira would not be happy." He mind link the stubborn dragon lord who had ignored him.

The dragon continued to flap his powerful wings, flying in circles twice before he came to a halt. A smirk making it way on his lips at his handwork. He had scared all the witches, they had all run into their homes with no single witch in sight. Every door and window was shut, making the region appear to be deserted. The unconcerned Guardian continued his journey ahead. They both knew Mira would feel their fear through their bond and the dragon would dismissed her rants like always.

"What did you do Samurai?" Mira immediately asked the Guardian who appeared in her coven in his human form and as predicted he ignored her. Mira is used to Samurai mood swings and it infuriates her even more when he ignores her.

This time the Queen didn't back down and continued, "Would you be happy if I tortured your kind?" the Guardian stopped walking and turn to look at her with a raised brow. He was pleased to see the look of annoyance on the Queen's face. He grinned and carried on with his walk to the meeting chamber.

Samurai was the only one on the council who could have her riled up and he often does because he enjoyed it. 'She looked fierce when annoyed,' he thought. The witch continued with her complaints as she followed behind. Nikolai walked at a very slow pace, he didn't want to get dragged into the one of their arguments. It never ended well for him with the witch playing magic tricks. Mira had become a sister to him since they were both raised by the previous Witch Queen.

"Just because I can't breathe fire doesn't mean I can't start one." He heard Mira's voice echoing through the empty halls.

Nikolai heard the snort coming from the dragon, thanks for his sharp hearing. He immediately increased his speed for he knew what would happen next and he didn't want to miss it.

Nikolai did reach on time to see Mira casting a spell on the Guardian who walked without a care. He had no idea what the witch had planned. Soon, he saw Samurai had stopped walking and turned to Mira who had an evil smirk on. Samira eyes had gone wide opened, a sheen of sweating forming on his forehead.

"What did you do?" He demanded.

"Payment for torturing my people." Her smirk grew wide at Samurai's distress.

Samurai's head raised up when a heard a laughter from behind, sending a warning glare to the King, "it's not funny Nikolai. Tell her to stop this instant." There was a threat underlying his warning but neither did Mira or Nikolai felt bothered.

Samurai could not move his body which was frozen to the spot where he stood. His hands clenched into a fist as he closed his eyes tightly. He should have known Mira won't let this slide, only if he had heed to the king's warning. A vein in his neck throb and now he was sweating profusely. If only he could overcome this but he knew unless the spell was broken. Nikolai could not hold back any longer and burst into laughter. The sight of the mighty dragon in distress was an eyesore, they were the guardians of their realm; the protectors yet here was their lord who stood at the mercy of a witch not just any witch but the most powerful of their realm.

Mira had a look of satisfaction but it wasn't enough, for she knew perfectly that the stubborn Guardian would hold his ground to his last breath. An apology from him was what she wanted and she will get it. She mumbled something under her breath making the Guardian yelp painfully. That was motivation enough, now let see how he would continue to hold on, she thought.

Samurai ears rung as his heart beats loudly. All could hear including himself. It wasn't the first time Mira placed such a spell on him which he had overcome it but this time there was a new twist to it. He was on fire and it was far painful than before and his manhood had to be at the mercy of a sly fox.

"Don't be stubborn! Say the magic words and I shall let you free." Mira smiled and tighten the spell again.

Samurai could no longer stand the pain, he felt as if a snake had coiled around his balls, squeezing the life out of him but that wasn't the only atrocious act the witch had inflicted upon him. She had set fire to his balls in addition, if it was his body on fire he wouldn't mind because he was fire himself but not his precious balls. Samurai eyes shot open when he felt a sting. Did the magic snake bit him? He asked himself.

His eyes were deep shade of gold and his face had turne red. She knew the dragon within was angry but she still looked unconcerned.

"Release me immediately!" He demanded yet Mira shook her head making Nikolai laugh more.

"I have humoured you enough! We have an important meeting to attend Mira, this is not time for games." He said sharply but the witch looked else where with a bored look in her eyes.

"Fine!" he snapped when he felt the snake venom burning his insides, "I apologise for my ill mannered behaviour towards your people. Please release me!" He said calmly though his dragon was eating at him in his head due to the pain.

There was a mischievous glint in her eyes, "I thought Guardians hath not shown us the spirit of pain; but of power. So what happened to this one?" She said to Nikolai rhetorically who had come to stand by her. Nikolai gave her a pointed look and Mira knew her fun with the Guardian was over.

"It seems not everyone is ardent as I, guess the fun is over." Mira hate to break the spell because the Guardian was a preserved creature and only few things could affect him. The moment Mira released him, he let out a breath he had been holding for long.

He pursed his lip, "shall we head for the meeting?" He asked, giving Mira the chance to take the lead. He didn't want her playing any more tricks on him. Mira expected a sarcastic remark from the Guardian but he had disappointed her this time.

The Guardian looked at the King suspiciously, "I can't find the witcher and apparently the lord wasn't also present at the Queen's address." He blurt out as soon as they all sat around the table.
