1 Value of time

Jagadguru Shankaracharya always used to teach people to devote their time to good works. Man should never misuse time.

Once a wealthy devotee said, "Mahatma, if a person is unable to devote his time to good works due to lack of time, what should he do?"

Shankaracharya, while explaining to the person, said, 'I have not been introduced to anyone who has got a single moment more or less from the time of the creator. What do you mean by lack of time?

Hearing this, that devotee kept quiet. Jagadguru paused for a few moments and said, "What you are calling lack of time is not chaos, it is really lack of time."

If a person is determined to live an orderly life, then he gets enough time to do everything well. Individuals who do not live a systematic life, carry their precious life as a burden.

Pausing for a few moments, he again said, "Achievement of life is not how many years it has lived, but it is how much time has been utilized. Therefore, each moment should be used properly and others should also be motivated in this direction.

This person of Jagadguru was very impressed with this answer and decided that he himself would lead an orderly life and inspire others to do the same.
