1 Chapter 1- Resolve

I watched in horror as my aunt tended my fresh yet throbbing wound, barely finding gratitude, I thank her, in all respect, I didn't mean it.

As I left her residence I made my way down a rural backway alley.

Remembering my parents abundantly made it clear that it was extremely unsafe to wander there. But still, out of curiosity, I continued to venture, as I was making my way to the end, I felt a slight brush on my neck which was then followed by a loud eerie scream.

I muttered, ".... u..uh whose there?"

"WAHHH", my friend, Aika screamed.

"Wow, you scared me," I said relieved.

Whatcha doing out here?

To be honest, I have no clue, just wanted to walk around town.

Oh yeah... sorry about your party Kairi, everyone back in our guild has already heard about it, a search group was dispatched but not a soul has returned.

Wait, what?.. It's all my fault I thought, I gotta go; talk to you later.

"Take it easy Kairi".

I made my way east of district 11 of the Republic of Vaistrald

"This should be the right place." A kid around my age says atop a house as he glances below his feet.

Shining white hair that curled up to his face and eyes the color of dazzling blue roses gazes down on me.

He leaps down saying, " are you Kairi?"

uh.. yes and who are you?

"oh, where are my manners, I'm Lloyd Aurelio age 16, you see I'm a foreign exchange agent apart of the Fallen Heaths guild, so I'm quite unfamiliar with this area."

Wait, they "Fallen Heath" like the guild that reached floors beyond the Exo-zone??? ( the Exo-zone are floors beyond the 100th floor).

haha yes, Lloyd replies.

I was informed by the head lieutenant of the Fallen Heaths, "Daichi Takahashi" to notify you that I'm going to be your instructor or the person that's gonna train you.

"waitttttt, what ???? I'm at a loss for words, why?

Well, I was told that you obtained quite a special ability from the vast radar scope that goes throughout Vaistrald. Try to breathe in and imagine flourishing fire emerging from thin air.

Alright, I'll try, I replied.

An image flickers in my head, suddenly black fire enlights before me.

Wow, I'm surprised you pulled that off the first try, now cease the fire.

"arghh" I grunt as I try to unlit the fire.

"ahh," I say relieved as I stop the scorching fire.

Hahahaha, alright you may go home now I just wanted to introduce myself today since tomorrow is when we first start training, I advise you to go straight home.

"Alright, Bye" I reply.

Head north of District 00 to the hills of lost souls.
