28 Capturing Danzo - Final

Minato was facing Danzo, he was thinking whether he should capture him now or just leave now and capture him after presenting the evidence to the shinobi council. But this had a risk, if he left now he was sure Danzo would run away, while he could mark him with his hiraishin Minato didn't want to bother with going after Danzo.

'I'll capture him now. I'll deal with the council later' Minato thought.

"ANSWER. who are you and what are you doing here" Danzo asked again.

Minato snorted as he took off his mask.

Danzo was shocked to see who the invader of his base was. At this moment he knew what would happen to him.

'Minato has come to collect evidence to kill me' Danzo thought as he started to get nervous. On the outside he was able to maintain his stoic and emotionless facade.

"Why have you invaded my base Minato? I demand an explanation" Danzo said to Minato.

Minato sneered at him and said "I am the Hokage Danzo, I can do whatever I want in this village, even more so when you are the one suspected of sending shinobi to kill my wife" Said Minato waiting for Danzo's reaction.

Danzo's blood froze when Minato said that. He thought that all the Ninjas he sent had died that day and no one suspected him.

"To come here and invade my base you must have evidence of what you claim" Danzo said.

"I must say you're pretty good at hiding your emotions" Minato said as he turned his back on Danzo and started analyzing the seals in Danzo's office. In a clear act of contempt for his opponent, leaving it implied that Danzo represented no real threat to him.

"Orochimaru has certainly done a good job with these seals" Said Minato.

Danzo was angered by Minato's attitude "Don't change the Topic Minato, you can't just invade my base without concrete evidence and discuss it with the council" Danzo said furious at Minato's contempt towards him.

"The slavery seal is also his work, isn't it?" Minato said still with his back turned.

"What are you talking about? It's not a slavery seal, the seal only prevents them from revealing root and village secrets" Danzo replied.

Minato looked at him with a sneer on his face "Are you seriously saying that to me?" asked Minato incredulous at Danzo's attempt to lie about how the seal works to a fuinjutsu master.

Danzo fell silent and his face began to burn with embarrassment for attempting to lie to Minato about the seal.

"I guess the transplantation of Hashirama's cells affected your intellect somehow" Minato said mocking Danzo.

Danzo was shocked because Minato knew that he had transplanted Hashirama cells into his body 'How can he know? Only me and Orochimaru know about that. Unless Orochimaru'

"No, Orochimaru didn't tell me. I know all about you Danzo.

Let's see the list of your crimes, kidnapping clan children to turn them into slaves, treason against the village by facilitating the entry of Kumo ninja on two occasions, attempted assassination of the Hokage and his wife, conspiracy to destroy the Senju, Uchiha and Uzumaki clans, manipulation of missions. The list is too long to say now. But there is one thing I didn't know, your non-reciprocated feelings for Hiruzen are something new to me.

What do you tell me about this? Danzo," said Minato looking at Danzo sternly.

Danzo was paling as he listened to Minato's words, but when Minato said he knew about his feelings for Hiruzen his world fell apart.

"DON'T YOU DARE SAY IT. NO ONE HAS GIVEN YOU THE RIGHT TO READ MY DIARY!" shouted Danzo.

Minato snorted at Danzo's outburst "Here's what's going to happen, I will take you prisoner until we hold a trial where the whole village will learn of your actions. After judging you guilty I will execute you publicly in front of the whole village. I don't know what to do with Hiruzen though," said Minato.

Danzo froze when he heard Minato's words, he knew he was doomed, but when he heard that Minato didn't know what to do with Hiruzen he said "Don't do anything to Hiruzen, I did it all myself, it's not his fault" Danzo said trying to avoid putting the blame on his friend.

"Hiruzen knew about all your actions, but he did nothing. Not only that, but he helped you sometimes. But since he was a Hokage he has governmental immunity so he can't be judged for his actions or inactions, but nothing stops me from exposing him to the whole village," Minato said loudly.

Danzo was very angry at Minato's words, he didn't care what happened to him, but Minato wasn't targeting him alone he was also going to expose Hiruzen's crimes. That is unacceptable to him.

Suddenly Danzo ran towards Minato to attack him, but when he almost hit him Minato disappeared and appeared behind Danzo.

"Did you know it's rude to attack people who are talking? You know you can't beat me Danzo and especially not without the Sharingan" Minato said with a smile.

Danzo froze as he heard him say the name of the eyes he coveted.

"Surprised? You plan to destroy the Uchiha clan for three reasons. One, they are too strong and may pose a risk to your future plans. Two, you plan to destroy them because you can't tolerate them, that made worse because of your relationship with Kagami Uchiha. Three, you greed for their eyes" Minato said while dodging another attack from Danzo.

"How, how do you know all that?" asked Danzo in desperation.

Minato looked at him and his eyes started to glow blue, a spiral pattern appeared in his eyes.

"I know everything Danzo" Minato said as he looked at him with those strange eyes.

Danzó froze he gawked at Minato's eyes. 'A dojutsu? But I've never seen a dojutsu like that' Danzo thought as he looked at Minato's eyes.

'You will pay. You will pay for all the damage you have done to my wife, you will pay for trying to manipulate us.

Know eternity" Minato said as a blue glow came out of his eyes.

Danzo's world began to change suddenly he found himself on a staircase that spiraled down and up

"WHAT?" Danzo said as he analyzed his surroundings

"A genjutsu?" said Danzo confused.

Danzo made a hand seal and said "Kai (Break)" Seeing that it didn't work he followed "Kai" "Kai" "Kai" "Kai" "Kai" .... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...

Danzo kept trying to get out of the genjutsu for hours until he saw that he was not going to be able to get out.

Then he looked around again and said "I seem to be in some kind of tower made of stone" He thought. Then he looked at the stairs and said "Should I go down or up?" he wondered.

"I don't know the size of these stairs and going up is much harder than going down. So I'll go down" Danzo said as he started down the stairs.

Step by step Danzo walked down the stairs, minutes passed and nothing, then hours passed and he was getting nowhere.

"Should I have gone upstairs?" wondered Danzo.

One day later

Danzo was still walking down the stairs, hunger and thirst plagued him and his body was tired.

Three days later

Danzo was sitting on the stairs. The pain of hunger and thirst was unbearable. His body could no longer move.

"If I keep this way I will die in two days. I must find water and food" Danzo said as he rested.

Silence surrounded him, he could only hear his own breathing and his heart pumping blood.

Five days later

Danzo was still walking down the stairs, the thirst and hunger he felt was unbearable.

His body ached from all the walking

"I'm five days without drinking water, I should die soon" Danzo said as he sat on the stairs."

Ten days later

"Why haven't I died?" Danzo asked himself

Hunger, thirst and silence were driving him crazy.

He should have died by now, but something was preventing him from doing so.

A month later

"DAMN LADDER. WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO FINISH? I CAN'T TAKE THIS ANYMORE. HIRUZEN GET ME OUT OF HERE" Danzo shouted anything was better than silence right now.

One year later

"Why do I keep coming down these stairs? Danzo asked himself in a rare moment of sanity.

"Why, why am I here? MINATO, MINATO GET ME OUT OF HERE RIGHT NOW. HOW CAN YOU DO THIS TO THE HOKAGE. I ORDER YOU TO GET ME OUT OF HERE!" shouted Danzo madly.

Ten years later

"DAMN UCHIHAS I'LL KILL THEM ALL, TOBIRAMA-SAMA WAS RIGHT, UCHIHAS ARE ONLY GOOD WHEN THEY'RE DEAD. YES, YES, THAT'S KILLING THEM ALL. KAGAMI LOOK WHAT I'M GOING TO DO, I'M GOING TO KILL YOUR WHOLE FAMILY.

UZUMAKI, SENJU YOU WILL DIE TOO, YOU WILL ONLY RESPOND TO ME, YEAH. ONLY I AM WORTHY YES!"

"HIRUZEN WHERE ARE YOU, WE CAN FINALLY GET MARRIED, LEAVE THAT WHORE AND COME WITH ME. TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE KONOHA THE RULER OF THE ELEMENTAL NATIONS. NO, WE WILL BE THE BEST IN THE WORLD" shouted the madman while drooling.

20 years

30 years

100 years

"WHO AM I? WHY AM I ALIVE? WHAT HAVE I DONE TO DESERVE THIS? WHY DOES THE WORLD ALWAYS DENY ME EVERYTHING? WHY CAN'T I DIE?" shouted Danzo as he continued down the stairs. He had tried to kill himself in various ways, but always healed himself. He had bitten his arm off, but when he passed out his arm had gone back to where it belonged, no matter what he did it always healed

In the real world Minato looked at Danzo who was with his eye closed in a trance.

Minato was tired, that genjutsu had spent too much chakra 'That genjutsu spent more than half of all my chakra, now I understand how Jiraiya felt when he showed us Naruto's life' Minato thought as he looked at Danzo.

Kakashi and the others arrived and were met with this, Minato looked at Danzo who seemed to be asleep on his feet.

"Minato-sensei we have to go. Urara is hurt and won't live if we don't find Tsunade-sama soon" Usagi said in desperation.

Minato seeing that they had arrived deactivated his Senpugan and looked at Urara's wound and became serious and said "Ok, we got everything we came for, let's go" Minato said as he approached Danzo

Kakashi seeing Danzo's condition asked "What happened to him, is he still alive?" Kakashi asked his sensei

Minato looked at him and said "No, he's in a genjutsu. He's experiencing the hell of eternity" Minato said as he sealed Danzo on a scroll. Minato looked at the boys and said "Let's go."

They all approached Minato to touch him. Minato seeing that they were ready did his Hiraishin and they teleported to the Uzumaki compound to find Tsunade.

When they arrived Minato thought 'I hope Danzo isn't too crazy when he comes out of the genjutsu. I need him sane for the trial'
