2 Character Creation

"Fallen Snow it is time to pick your race," the NPC stated calmly.

She waved her hand and the seven race options available appeared around Jinhai. He could see similarities between him and each of the avatars surrounding him. That could be changed of course because all of the characters were completely customizable.

He glanced at all of the races the were available which were Human, Undead, Orc, Dwarf, Wood Elf, Succubus, and Beastman. All of the races had their own strengths as weaknesses unique to them.

He first looked at the human, which looked almost exactly like him. Humans were a very common choice in any VRMMO. Humans were fast learners and adapted easily to different situations. Their main drawback was that they were physical weaker than the other races.

Next he looked at the undead. The avatar had grey skin and his face was sunken in. When Jinhai mad eye contact with the avatar red eyes stared back. The undead had naturally strong magic and did not need to rest like the other races. The main drawback was that they would only be able to party up with other undead because the living characters would be involuntarily scared and put off.

The Orc avatar was tall and muscular. The avatar had light green skin and tusks coming from its lower jaw. Orcs were extremely strong with the highest strength out of all of the races and also very hardy. The main drawback was that Orcs were unable to be stealthy at all no matter how much the movement stats were upgraded.

The next race was the Dwarf. The avatar was short and stout looking with long hair and a braided beard. Dwarves were good blacksmiths and miners. They also had a high resistance to heat. The main drawback was that they had low stamina in comparison to the other races.

The Wood Elf avatar was tall and slender with a face similar to Jinhai's own just more attractive. The wood elves were extremely stealthy and were in tune with nature. This allowed them to be good with animals and plants. The main drawback was that they had a weak defense.

The Succubus avatar was female with a curvy body and seductive face. The Succubus race was able to entrance male players and NPCs for up to 5 minutes though it would only work on the same person 2 or 3 times before they became immune. The main drawback was that they were not very good fighters preferring to use entranced men to protect them.

The final race was the Beastman, which gave the character the ears and tail of a random animal. The avatar Jinhai saw had gray bunny ears that were flicking back and forth and a cotton ball tail. Beastmen were extremely fast and had enhanced senses including hearing, smell, and sight. The main drawback was that they had extremely weak magic.

Jinhai looked back over all of the races once more before he made his choice.

Jinhai decided to pick wood elf because the benefits of the race would help him achieve his farming goals much faster. He tweaked the character a bit to make it look just different enough that he wouldn't be immediately recognized as himself.

"Have you finished customizing your character?" The gatekeeper asked after a few moments.

"Yes"

The gatekeeper then waved her hand again and the screen to pick his beginning stats appeared before him and he received 22 points to start with. The six starting stats were health, mp (magic power), stamina, strength, intelligence, and dexterity. Every point placed into health, mp, or stamina would raise the stat by 10 while the other 3 stats would go up by 1 for each point.

Jinhai thought about it for a moment before he decided to start by placing 2 points into every stat. He then divided the last 10 stats between stamina and dexterity because they would be the most important stats to help him achieve his farming dreams.

After he had used all of his stats the Gatekeeper spoke again.

"You have finished creating your character are you ready to enter Utopia?"

"Yes."

The Gatekeeper waved her hand and the she and the dark room faded away as he was transported to one of the Towns of Beginning.
