11 He Scolds Me!

That was a group of mage apprentices in white robes. A bright white light orb was floating in front of their leader. That was the illumination magic always used by the orthodox mages—Inch of Light.

The tavern quieted down instantly after that group of mage apprentices barged in.

Although the group of people in the tavern had called themselves mage apprentices, they all knew very well that was just self-boasting.

They were nothing in front of real mage apprentices.

All the mage apprentices who were trying to counsel Delçois trained their gazes on him.

The girl who was grabbing Delçois' arm suddenly changed her facial expression. She pointed at the ring in Yu Sheng'an's hand and said, "Why are you holding onto the mithril ring that I gave to Delçois?"

F**k me!

Yu Sheng'an went into a daze upon hearing that and he stared at Delçois in befuddlement. F**k, I'm a 100% straight man that couldn't be any straighter!

"He's my friend so I gave it to him," Delçois replied.

"You—That mithril ring was a gift from me. I paid a huge price to hide the Internet… H-h-how could you give it to someone else?" The girl was so agitated that her eyes became red.

Yu Sheng'an awkwardly placed the ring on the bar counter, "Young lady, you have misunderstood the situation. Actually, the ring fell to the floor and I was picking it up for him."

"Scram! This is none of your business!" The girl got into a frenzy right away. Pointing at Yu Sheng'an, she yelled, "I was wondering why Delçois wanted to quit school all of a sudden. The girl, Dorothy, covered her mouth with her hand as she looked at Delçois with disbelief. Her eyes reddened instantly as her tears began to drop.

The rest of the mage apprentices just stood there, helpless and dumbfounded. They didn't know who to help or what to do.

They were all stunned.

Weren't we supposed to come and talk Delçois out of quitting school?

H-h-how did this person get involved?

What the heck is going on?

Just as Yu Sheng'an thought Dorothy would run away in tears, she suddenly pointed at him and said with a grave voice, "I get it now. You're a believer of the evil god. You have deliberately come here to corrupt our Delçois, right? You shall die now!"

She suddenly lifted up her arm after she was done talking. The magical engraving in her body was activated instantaneously.

The advanced version of the Burning Hand—Burning Rays—came roaring out!

An extremely hot ray that was as thick as an arm went straight toward Yu Sheng'an's face.

Delçois was alarmed and his magical engraving was activated by his emotion. A rock barrier erupted from the ground and burst through the wooden floor as it blocked the Burning Rays!

All the people in the tavern were shocked by that sudden scene!

The ordinary folk began to scramble out of the conflict zone. But, they couldn't help turning their heads back to look at the commotion.

"Dorothy, no!" The other mage apprentices finally managed to react. They rushed over to pull Dorothy back and prevent her from releasing magic again.

Even if she hailed from a powerful background, she would still be sentenced to jail for a year or two if she killed somebody!

By then, all of them would definitely be in trouble after being implicated by her.

"Don't you hide from me! Come on out!" Dorothy screamed at Yu Sheng'an.

"He's not a believer of the evil god, Dorothy! You're overthinking. Look at him. There's no energy fluctuation in his entire body. He's just an ordinary person!"

The mage apprentices were trying to calm Dorothy down while they shouted at the young man, "Quick, leave now!"

"That's right. Why are you still standing there?"

"Quick, go. Do you want to die?"

Delçois, too, said with a glum expression, "Leave first, Bro. Don't worry, I will ask her to never bother you again."

"Ask her, my foot. You're such a silly ass!" Yu Sheng'an admonished him with a very disappointed look. He could have rejected the gift from the girl, but why did he have to give it away not long after accepting it?

"How dare you scold my Delçois?" Dorothy flew into a rage immediately.

Dorothy, Delçois and the other mage apprentices were all stunned.

"You—I am going to kill you! Release me. I won't let you guys off if you don't release me now!" Dorothy had completely lost her mind. She was so furious that she even threatened her schoolmates and magic was vibrating on her entire body.

The surrounding mage apprentices began to pull long faces as they looked at Yu Sheng'an with a hateful expression.

They really thought that he didn't know what was good for him!

They were already giving him a chance to leave. But, instead of leaving, he actually decided to chastise?

Does he really think that we, the mage apprentices, do volunteer work in charity houses?

Right at that moment, Delçois—who was facing the entrance—suddenly exclaimed with shock, "Lord Principal?"

The others were also shocked as they turned their heads around swiftly. Then, they all looked like they had seen a ghost.

All of them released Dorothy at the same time as they stood to attention and saluted, "Lord Principal!"

Dead silence reigned in the tavern after the greeting.

Many customers who were watching the show looked toward the door in a daze. They saw a middle-aged man with salt-and-pepper hair step into the tavern.

Many of them were astonished.

Lord Principal?

A middle-aged man with black hair?

Then, wasn't he the Principal of the Felix School of Magic and one of the Four Main Pillars of the empire—Dandell the Magical Deity?

At that very moment, everyone in the tavern was awed and they began to look at Dandell with burning gazes!

After a couple of seconds, there were a flurry of sounds of stuff—like glasses and benches—falling to the floor. That was due to the numerous customers trying to scramble to their feet to salute the principal.

Just then, a coy voice rose above the tavern's shock, "Grandpa Dandell, you have to help me. This man is scolding me!"

Dorothy no longer acted in a violent manner.

She was stomping her feet and pointing at the young man with a pitiful look. She even had tears in her eyes. She really made people feel very sorry for her.

All the people in the tavern turned to look at Yu Sheng'an at the same time.

However, all of their gazes were at the moment full with pity and sympathy. And of course, schadenfreude!
