1 Chapter One

"Jin, Auntie Joy will go to out and buy something for everyone. Can you please help Auntie Joy check all your brothers?" A forty years old aunt left the house with seven kids behind. Jin was the eldest and was in-charged on taking care of all his younger brothers whenever Auntie Joy was not on sight.

The first thing that Jin dis after Auntie Joy left was to make sure that all doors are kept closed so that none of his brothers will leave their home and no strangers will also trespass their territory.

"Everyone!" Jin shouted to grab the attention of all his brothers. He was carrying his young baby brother named Kooky as his other brothers one by one entered the living room.

"Kuya Jin what is the problem?" Asked by the little Jimmie who is hugging his Duck doll across his chest. He timidly looked around and was about to burst with tears when he realized that Auntie Joy was not around. His twin brother, V, urgently comforted him.

"I saw Auntie Joy with her shopping bag, you don't have to cry. She will return in an instant."

"Kuya Jin, Kuya August is still sleeping and his door said not to disturb him. What should I do?" Joon informed the eldest about August who was a sleepyhead.

"Joon, you, August and I were sharing the same room and he doesn't know how to write yet. How come did he write that 'do not disturb me'?" Jin reminded his almost genius but clumsy brother about their sleeping situation.

Joon scratched his head and timidly said, "I just saw an ex sign on his headboard with a skull that painted with red and a knife. I assume he was saying those things to anyone who will wake him up." Jin accepted his brother's explanation and later on asked him to call Hope outside.

Hope usually picked flowers on their garden at this time of the day, he presumes that he still following his schedule so he asked Joon to call for him before Auntie Joy return.

After Joon and Hope entered the house and reassured that all doors are closed, Jin opened the television to preoccupy all his brothers since Auntie Joy is not around. It is also his way to keep his eyes to all of them. He heard the news yesterday about a syndicate whose grabbing kids outside, kidnapping them and then they will sell them to other people who want to buy the poor kids. As the eldest of them all, he doesn't want that to happen to any of his brothers.

As all the shows ended and replaced by another, his brother was one by one fell asleep without feeling hungry or something. Jin is still waiting for their Auntie Joy to return even if the night gets darker and darker.

A baby step echoed within the house after he turned off the television. It was August who just woke up from his deep sleep. "Kuya Jin, I'm hungry." He said.

Even Jin, himself, was also hungry but still dedicated to waiting for their Aunt before he decided to prepare something for themselves.

But before his six younger brothers burst to cry, he started to prepare a simple dish and noodle to feed all of them. August also help his older brother to make it faster. Although they are still kids, Jin and August have a mind of a mature person. Auntie Joy can trust these two to take care of the whole house and their brothers whenever she wasn't around.
