2 Panra Hunting

Six years later, Grandma Kuzanagi passed away, no one had spoken of her death...

Iron woke up with the feeling of drowsiness.

Moment pass, Iron got out of bed. In a Bamba crate, with his equipment inside, he looked around.

"They're not here. They're outside," said Iron.

The drowsiness vanished...

Iron was preparing himself for the panra hunt. He wrapped his red headband around his head, to cover what seems to be a cross-shaped symbol. Iron has a star-shaped iris, light green eyes, short hair with bangs nearly covering his left eye.

Iron took his sword out of the crate, only to find that it's worn out.

"My sword is broken, I need to repair it or replace it," thought Iron, while the sword crumbled to dust.

He plans to visit the mith to repair his now-broken-blade.

=====

Iron arrived at the mith's house. Sounds coming from behind the door became audible.

To his surprise, what he could discern from the weeks of Koraku's weird sounds... It was fapping noises...

Iron questioned his life choices and about the old man's fap addiction.

"He's been fapping like this, ever since he came to this village," Iron thought to himself letting out a sigh. Iron didn't worry about it, so he knocked.

"Hey, Koraku?" said Iron.

"Hmm?" Koraku replied, ending his session. Koraku pulled up his pants, exit out of his room, and went to open the door.

"Will you... repair my sword?" said Iron, nervously.

"Hmm...  Sure, sure. Hmm, Give me the weapon, hmm." Koraku replied.

=====

Koraku was some old bearded guy, bangs covering his eyes; sporting the usual attire everyone wears.

Everyone in the Munka Tribe wears a brown tunic slanted down their left or right side and a waist apron over their hakama or kimono.

Time passed, the sword was good as new. Iron was prepared to hunt panra.

"Oh, before I go, I need some armor." Iron thought, glancing upon an open crate.

"Hey, Koraku. Can I have that tunic over there?" Iron asked.

Koraku is busy with forging the next big thing... another katana!

"Hmm... sure sure. Got nothing to do with it anyway, take it," he replied.

=====

Rushing into the Bamba Woods, Iron began his hunt for the big feast!

Panra has black-white fur, tusks, and a body of large size, flying around with their cloak-like fur.

A panra's approach is with the intent to kill, to feast on flesh.

Thus, hunters like Iron go after them.

Hunters harvest their fur and their flesh for clothes and food.

Saying goes:

[Our predators come to us. We are the predators of our predators.]

The village consisted of only 13 small Bamba huts circling the large campfire.

=====

He lives a simple life at the Munka Tribe, south of Wendaiga. As for Rana, she is out farming and harvesting blin fruit in the Bamba Woods. Blin fruit grew on Bamba.

Unlike the other tribesmen, Rana is... unique; she wears the usual attire all black.

Time passed, the tribesmen hunters, and farmers call it a day, head on home. Iron arrived home, was greeted by his mother and father, and went inside.

On her way home, Rana caught a glimpse of something descending from the sky and broke its fall.

She picks up a glass vial of black liquid substance spilling out.

=====

"What is this?" Rana thought to herself, making a discovery.

Upon closer inspection, she examined it. The black substance emitted such a nasty smell. The black substance lingered on the palm of her hand, spreading.

It cannot be cleansed, by usual means of course.

Next day.

Rana was now bedridden.

Even though blin fruit can also be the remedy for any condition, Rana's condition is unique.

"Mother, isn't blin fruit supposed to cure her?" asked Iron.

Iron's mother also noticed something strange. Eyes turning from brown to red every second pale skin.

=====

"Yes, but seems it can't cure her..." his mother answered. She lied, for what reason?

It grew worst the days after, Rana is deceased.

The tribesmen buried her and they continued what they normally do.

Like it never happened, but that awful memory still lingers.

Day after, something felt off to Iron. The air is thick, fog is slowly appearing.

"It's not lively anymore. Weird. I think they're fending off panra."

As much as Iron likes to wander around the Bamba forest, he stopped wandering for some reason and just head on home.

=====

Only to notice that his whole tribe has been slaughtered. He felt a presence. A presence so frightening, that it paralyzed him in fear.

All he could do was watch, as he saw a tall black-robed figure above near a pile of corpses.

He heard a sound, but what?

The monster noticed him.

"Shhhhhhhhhhh... You... Will... Not... Scream..."

He fell to his knees, resting on the dark cold sand.
