Chapter 1

Its there, i can feel it. Just barly kept in check. Simmering beneath the surface. My fists clench and i bite my tongue, trying to keep it together. They cannot see-they must not see. My skin is boiling now almost as hot as the dragons breath it seems. Something soft touches my shoulder. It is gentle and light, barely there-but it gives me all the comfort i need. I close my eyes letting the darkness distract me from the fire that burns within. Then, almost as if it was never there the hand disappears and i am again engulfed by the unbearable heat. Its so cold and dark and yet i feel on fire. My body feals heavy and numb. Something walks past me and i try desperately to open my eyes. Today is the day.
