3 CHAPTER 3: The Reason of the Change

Keith was having a fun weeks together with her teacher/brother Frederick. They set their time dueling with each other, playing different games that is applicable for 16 years old, reading all the books in the library, and sleeping all day.

"Luis, have you gotten the news that we are going to have a ball this weekend?" Frederick ask Keith as he stroke her hair

"ah- really? ohh so his highness the crown prince must be planning something, to host a ball in the middle of winter." She frown as she realize that the day when her brother, the crown prince will be meeting his soon to be fiancé is coming so soon.

'His fiancé is a b*tch but who cares? not that I'll treat him as my brother in this life.'

"eh? You used to call prince Liam brother, why are you not calling him brother anymore?" Frederick ask her.

Frederick and Liam are two close friend, but Frederick never met Keith before and only heard her name from Liam, her brother. He would always curse and complain about his sister's clinginess and how she act like an attention seeker. So Frederick conclude that Keith will be an irritating student, but never did he thought that what he know about her is the exact opposite of who she really is.

"I'm also curious about your change, everyone describe you as attention seeker, desperate for love, and hard working person but you are actually so lazy." Frederick continued as he look at her curiously.

"heh, curiosity kills a cat brother Rick. Anyway I don't call him brother coz' that's what he want and I just realize that the crown prince and the king are actually right. So I stop myself from hoping and chose to just stay like what they want me to. Am I really like that in peoples eyes?"

Truth to be told Keith know that it really is her fault from the start, if she wasn't born the empress will still be alive right now. She was blaming herself for being born and killing her own mother, even in her past life there was no night that she didn't cry secretly waiting for a mother's hug. When she can't acquire that hug that she's been waiting for, she became eager for a father and a brother's comfort but that too never came. In her past life never did her family look at her with the look other than disgust and hate, she want them to look at her with pure thoughts.

She planned to do what she learned in her 2nd life, being independent. well if you add all the craziness she learned from her bestfriend at the past, she will most likely build her own castle and create her own people, leaving all those who doesn't care about her.

'right there is a forbidden forest here, I should navigate it and see where I can build my own castle. I will live like how Elsa live in her own ice castle. I'm so smart!' Keith thought while smiling and became emit a cold aura again.

Meanwhile Frederick who is staring at her was once again amused with how quick her expression can change. Frederick thought that maybe if Keith became a little selfish she would be happy, always. He know what she had experience, he not only heard about the bad rumors about her but also heard how loving and genius she is. Being able to master whatever her father want her to learn is in a whole different level for kids her age. And being able to overcome the feeling of being abandoned by everyone she wants to be with, she really is a perfect sister. Frederick is jealous and irritated at his bestfriend. Jealous for having such a cute, cool, genius, and loving a sister. And Irritated at the fact that the two royal people don't even know how to treasure such an important pearl like her.

"how can I compare her with pearl? She's definitely the most important person in the world, more important than Pavena" Frederick murmured

"did you say something brother Rick?" Keith ask him because he heard an extremely low murmur and only understand a single word

"It's nothing"

"bother what is Pavena? or perhaps who is it?"

"Pavena is a thing that is very important in this world, Pavena stops mana fluctuation because of emotion, it is a must for every one to bring this thing wherever they went."

"I don't have one though" Keith said a little bit upset that in her 16 years life in this world, never have she heard about this thing before. She looks like a puppy who just realize that she haven't eaten anything for the past 3 days and this sight make Frederick chuckle.

"You will have it at your 18th birthday or much earlier if you awaken your unfetlysmic, since it's extremely dangerous."

"but brother, I have read almost all of the books in the library and I haven't read a word about that thing amm Pavena?"

"actually the temple forbid any information about Pavena to be written in a book, but the truth is if you try to write the word Pavena the paper will explode" when Frederick explained this all, Keith's eyes instantly lit up. Keith was so immerse with the thought of making a paper explode to the point that she stand up and jumps happily

"woahh! That's cool. I wanna try making it explode too. Brother, I'm very busy right now you can go and leave for now"
