4 Chapter 4: New Friends

After Sarah and Olivia fled from the cafeteria in full speed, they came to a screeching halt at Mavis's locker to observe Mavis and Pauline articulating in hushed resonances. Mavis snapped her fingers and asked with an overbearing attitude, "Who's the newbie?" Pauline was shocked to hear Mavis talk like that. But still, she stood quietly stood there, observing and predicting what was going to transpire next. Olivia raised her eyebrow and asked in disbelief, "Are you sure that these are your companions?" Sarah plainly ignored them and abruptly introduced Olivia to both of them. Pauline extended her hand to greet Olivia and said, "A pleasure to be your acquaintance. Welcome to Queen Charlotte." Olivia accepted the handshake and replied, "I have never heard such a traditional welcome before. Anyways thank you, and it's certainly a pleasure to meet you." Olivia thought NOTHING COULD TOP THAT INTRO SESSION.

But Mavis eradicated that erroneous assumption of hers. Mavis stepped forward, extended her hand with a vicious and confident smile, and said, "Hi! As all students and educators recognize that I'm THE MAVIS GRANZREICH, aka THE MATCHMAKER, SHIPPER, and whatever..." Olivia raised her eyebrow and stammered with nauseousness, "Ummmmmmmm... I don't think I require your matchmaking services." There was a long moment of awkward silence until Sarah eventually spoke out, "Let's play UNO! I believe that it will be entertaining to play as a group for once." Sarah's companions slipped out of the hallways like banana peels on the deck. Gradually, Sarah and Mavis visited Olivia's residence for collaborating on group projects and started becoming comfortable being around with each other.

As days passed by, the four girls became quite close and enjoyed hanging out mutually as a group. Within no time, all of them overlooked how embarrassed and self-conscious they felt and how complicated it was for them to communicate and converse with one another. After several days, Sarah finally began to trust and respect them. So, one beautiful day, she decides to confess her feelings about Aiden to her trusted companions. Being apprehensive about it at first, finally, Sarah mustered the courage to admit. But she acknowledged that the moment was right and she couldn't conceal it anymore.
