17 Chapter 13: Welcome to the Eastlink Centre

Considering that tremendous project fiasco, Aiden and Sarah weren't on speaking terms. Colonel Grey administration staff had reserved the Eastlink Centre for its students to witness a hockey match between Charlottetown Islanders and Summerside western capitals. Students from a particular homeroom had a private bus.

Aiden yearned to sit next to Sarah and apologize for what transpired, but alternatively, Vincent evolved out of the blue and instantly took a seat alongside Sarah. He glared at Vincent with an enormous rage of fury in his eyes. He didn't know how he felt about Sarah, but at the same time, he didn't want Sarah to be around Vincent. Aiden sighed with disappointment and frustration and took a seat next to Olivia. Olivia gave a conspiratorial smirk and said, "Ah! Young love!" Aiden gazed at her with his cheeks flushing pink. He asked with voyeurism, "Olivia, what does Sarah see in that person?" Even Olivia didn't perceive the explanation to that question, she jokingly said, "I don't know.. his physical features?" Aiden replied, "Yep. You got me there."

He asked Olivia, "What type of person would you date?" Olivia gave him a questioning look and said, "Well, you see, I have standards. I am not going to date a guy who is solely attractive and impressive in terms of physical features. I don't like the label of dating. All I want is to spend a lot of time with the person and have a lot of meaningful conversations. Physical contact and flattering comments mean nothing to me. I don't settle for relationships that have nothing to teach me."

Aiden responded, "Wow, man! It's like you are my sister! Both of them shared a chuckle, and the bus stalled at the entrance of the arena.

Before leaving the bus, Aiden asked, "Olivia, can I sit next to you? I need a friend to remove all my anger on." Olivia appreciated the diplomacy and got off the bus along with Aiden and her ticket to the match.

*IN THE MEANWHILE*

While Sarah and Vincent sat together, they had an interesting conversation. As soon as Vincent placed himself next to Sarah, he asked, "When did you migrate to Canada?" Sarah remembered that Aiden asked the same question when she joined the track and field team at Queen Charlotte. Sarah startled out of her flashback memory after Vincent snapped his fingers to make sure if she was alright. She said, "Four years ago." Vincent asked, "What do you like most about Spain?" Sarah smiled and started talking to him pleasantly. He was intently listening to what she was saying and gazed into her eyes for the entire ride.

*AT THE STADIUM*

All the students sat on their assigned seats within half an hour, and soon, the match commenced. Aiden looked over and found Sarah and Vincent holding hands and laughing together. He was remarkably enraged that he tore his hockey ticket into pieces and threw it in the direction where they were sitting.

After ten minutes, Olivia whispered to Aiden, "How long do we have to bear this torture?" Aiden gave Olivia a questioning look and whispered back, "Seriously? Honestly, I am having a great time. Do you see that player over there--" He stopped mid-sentence and noticed that Olivia passed out on his shoulder. At that moment, he realized that Olivia was indeed like his younger sister. Neither Olivia nor Aiden had siblings, and their parents couldn't take out time for them. So they didn't have anybody to go to with their problems. He was thankful to find someone with whom he could share his difficulties.

Pauline observed Olivia sleeping on Aiden's shoulder and Sarah holding hands with Vincent. She summoned Mavis and pointed at the four people. Mavis looked at them and said, "Great! Now, this is the last thing we need!" Pauline replied, "Let's not jump to conclusions. But whatever this is, it's not going to end well for any of us."
