13 Chapter 10.2: Goodbye Queen Charlotte Intermediate

That day had also come, where the four girls had to bid their goodbyes to Queen Charlotte. They were glad to complete grade nine but were angry about getting separated for tenth grade. The problem was that Colonel Gray had offered three kinds of courses: Pre-IB, Academic, and general. Pre-IB were for students who love school and get 90% and above in all subjects for all sessions. Olivia signed up for this course. Academic was for students who have an average of 60% and above in every term. Sarah, Mavis, and Pauline signed up for this course. And the general program was for below that.

All grade nine students were excited to know who was the valedictorian of the year. The principal had given a motivational speech and had announced that valedictorian of the year. It was none other than Olivia! She walked with pride onto the stage and received her certificate. Other students also received theirs, and the event preceded. Mavis received an award for the best writer of the year. Sarah obtained the scholar-athlete award, and Pauline won the pioneer of the year award.

When all students received their report cards, they were shocked to see their sections, especially the four girls. They discovered that all of them had the same homeroom. They jumped and danced the night away from that news. Even though their academic programs weren't the same they were assigned a common homeroom. Turns out that the only difference between IB and academic students was that IB students had to attend a number of extra classes after school. The four girls were ready to catch a jet and fly into a new place filled with innovative possibilities. They had no idea what the three years of high school had to offer them.
