1 Chapter 1

It all started on her 20th birthday, Shireen, and she attended a new alpha ascension ceremony in the retiring alpha Martin's dark pack. They are giving the alpha position to his eldest son, Jeremy. A handsome man who is personable, strong, and also charismatic. All the women in the area love Several female wolves chased after Jeremy, unconcerned with their mate. The explosive pheromones of an alpha often ensnared many female wolves. Likewise, pheromones from female wolves, such as Grace, have strong pheromones and a beautiful face that is soft, tall and smells good. Almost all male wolves are captivated by her, and she is Shireen's sister.

Grace has found her mate, but her mate dies in an uncontrollable rogue mob attack on a red full moon night. And she is just a female being chased by many male wolves, and even Jeremy is captivated by her sister.

"Grace doesn't belong. Mom and dad are waiting," Shireen said, passing through her sister's room quickly.

She was already wearing a dress that suited her, ivory white. Blending in with her pale skin and glossy jet black hair, she was as soft as night and dark as the ocean. Her blue eyes lit up when they reached the kitchen. Before leaving, they would have dinner first. Shireen arrived at the table. First, the servers prepared the cutlery for Shireen immediately and then put the meat sticks on top with the sauce.

"This is pork?"

"Yeah, what's wrong, honey?"

"I admit I've said that I don't like pork. How come there's never venison on the table!" Shireen was getting annoyed.

"Come on, eat what's there. You know that your sister is allergic to venison." Said her father, who looked disapprovingly at Shireen's childish behavior.

In this house, she knows that only Grace can act childish. She is an adult who must understand and give in. Shireen finally swallowed all the disappointment in her heart. Almost of her life has always been filled with her sister's name, even though she was the best, and Grace cried because she didn't get the best.

So her parents ask Shireen to give in. It is all about Grace. Goodness and fame always belonged to her sister, who was different from her and was as dark as the night and bright as the moon. Grace is the warm and sunny Sun. Everyone loves it. Rather than the lonely and cold moon, it seems.

"Mom! Dad! Look at this. Do I match the clothes?"

"That's great, honey. You will shine at this party."

"Thank you, dad..." Her face blushed as she received the compliment from her father. As for Shireen, she had started munching on the pork steak she didn't like.

Her mother always made Grace's favorite food because Shireen's favorite food made her sister allergic, and her mother kept it away from her sister, like her favorite venison.

She wore a green dress, blended into one with her golden yellow dress. Her family has reddish-brown hair, and while she is black, Shireen sometimes questions herself. But her father and mother said that her hair color followed her grandmother's.

But even so, Shireen often felt that she might be the adopted child in this house. Seeing how the different treatment looked, Grace sat by her mother's side, and they had a pleasant conversation with her father, who was also looking at the two women. As for Shireen was enjoying dinner time which was hard to swallow.

On her 20th birthday, even her mother and father don't remember that today is when Alpha's eldest son is appointed as the new leader of the Dark pack. Not a single word came out of their lips for her. All focused on Grace and her sister.

"I'm done. I'll go to the carriage first."

"Okay, be careful. We'll catch up, don't go too far later." Her mother said, looking at Shireen's departure, who didn't look at the happy family without her.

But just as Shireen wanted to head off to the alpha lifting party without thought, she had to restrain herself from exploding. He is an adult, the older brother of one younger brother. If he refused right now, perhaps his father would be angry and forbade him to go again.

"Sis, wait. I want to go with you," She kissed her father and mother on the cheek and then ran to Shireen, who stopped her steps without turning back. "Bye, mom, bye, dad..."

"Be careful, dear, even though you haven't finished your dinner yet. Don't be too tired. If you feel unwell, please tell mom right away."

"Okay, mom, come quickly then." He said while hugging Shireen, who wanted to disappear from her family.

Shireen restrained herself, still trying not to throw her sister's hand away. She didn't hate Grace. She just hated the situation where she was constantly compared to standing with Grace, she didn't like it, and her parents never understood when she refused to go with Grace.

Her father even prevented her from attending her friend's birthday party. It made a brutal hit on the cheerful Shireen turn into a lump of ice that it was so hard to see her smile that it made her eyes narrow.

Her hands clenched involuntarily as she recalled the incident three years ago. At that time, Grace, who was lonely because she had trouble making friends with other people, always wanted to follow her on a trip, and Shireen refused. She didn't like it when Grace kept whining, and everyone compared her to Grace. Everyone has their uniqueness, but I ended up having to fight with my friend until now.

And her friend is now Grace's best friend, everything Shireen used to have was taken by her sister.

"Sister is wonderful tonight," Grace said, praising Shireen, who didn't care about her presence and just stared out the window of the horse carriage in silence.

"Thank you." The answer is cold.

Shireen had to restrain herself for the umpteenth time in this carriage. Her mother joined in the end out of concern for Grace and sat right across from her, next to Grace. And Shireen wanted to escape whatever was giving her a hard time, especially Grace. Ever since her sister was born, Shireen had to feel misery. Compared, sidelined, and always succumb.

"Don't you like going out with me? You look so unhappy I'm taking part in the carriage, sister. I'm sorry…." And she started crying again.

Her mother immediately pulled Grace uncomfortably and turned to glare at Shireen sharply.

'It will start again.'

Shireen sighed before her mother opened her mouth and said something hurtful. She needed to stop and calm this atmosphere according to her sister's wishes.

"No, Grace, everything is fine. I'm just not feeling well, and you can relax and enjoy this alpha lifting party soon."

And just as Shireen stopped talking, their carriage stopped right in front of the alpha Walker family's castle.
